Sorry to sound cold but who cares.......

Thousands of kids die everyday and get no attention. This is not a crazy event and is getting WAY too much attention.

PS- Nancy Grace is a despicable ****.

This, x 1,000,000. That ***** has been screaming about how guilty Casey is for the better part of 2 years now. I thought she was going to be one of the sole reasons for Casey being found guilty. I mean, it's kinda hard to get a fair trail in this country when you have r-tards like her running their goddamn mouths every night on national television. Her defense is always the same too, that she used to be a former prosecutor. Well forgive me sweetheart, but it seems to me that if you were a former prosecutor then you should be at least a little familiar with the whole 'presumption of innocence' thing. But then again, maybe that's why she's a former prosecutor. *****.

You lost me with the =/= part, but I have a feeling that I agree with your post.

'=/=' means does not equal. Not sure why I didn't just type it out, but I didn't.

Ok, I do agree with your post then. You just earned yourself another thanks. Keep up the good work.

Also: We should probably have professional juries in this country.

I agree. Then I'd stop getting letters every summer requesting me to do jury duty. Got them the past two years. Any day now I'm expecting to get a third.

The first one was for federal court, but I got out of it because of school conflict. The second time they just didn't need me.

Either have professional juries, or bug all the retired people out there that aren't doing anything and leave the busy people alone.

jury duty really creates conflicts with work and other stuff for normal people

i like the idea of a pro jury that really knows what they're doing and has a good understanding of law

Yeah, see I have that opinion because of something like what you just posted (Unless I'm just not getting some underlying sarcasm in this - forgive me if that is the case, as I am on my 6th Spotted Cow).

You just want to stop being bothered by it. I want people who know and understand the judicial system, and aren't bothered by the way a defendant conducts themselves during the court proceedings, or some other nonsensical bullshit that I kept on hearing during the course of this thing.

Enroll in a community college. That's what I did and I got it twice the two years I was there.

As for juries go, I don't think I like the idea of a professional jury. I am also in the boat that the Judicial branch of any government should not make legislature. When we have a difficult time finding objective judges, and when executives appoint activist judges, I think we have issues of corruptibility. Extending that type of non-elected authority over someone's life to yet another legal-buff, would then take away some check and balance of the system. Of course, we can all sit here, and picture those who we may view as incorruptible for these positions, but lets be real, at any level of politics, that is very rare. Most ideal candidates will not go after juror careers, and the selection is another level of manipulation. The likelihood of a fair trial would be drastically lower, and there would no longer be a point in having a trial by jury in the first place.

I would much prefer if we reform state and local systems to put the priorities on enforcing and bringing the worst of crimes to justice, and clean up the books on all of the annoyances that do no harm. When every second counts, the law is only minutes away!
