My favorite teams
Off the top of my head, minimum requirements....As for juries go, I don't think I like the idea of a professional jury. I am also in the boat that the Judicial branch of any government should not make legislature. When we have a difficult time finding objective judges, and when executives appoint activist judges, I think we have issues of corruptibility. Extending that type of non-elected authority over someone's life to yet another legal-buff, would then take away some check and balance of the system. Of course, we can all sit here, and picture those who we may view as incorruptible for these positions, but lets be real, at any level of politics, that is very rare. Most ideal candidates will not go after juror careers, and the selection is another level of manipulation. The likelihood of a fair trial would be drastically lower, and there would no longer be a point in having a trial by jury in the first place.
I would much prefer if we reform state and local systems to put the priorities on enforcing and bringing the worst of crimes to justice, and clean up the books on all of the annoyances that do no harm. When every second counts, the law is only minutes away!
