White Sox are killing it this off-season.
Again if we are worried about stolen bases we are in a good position.
eaton leads off and can steal.
melky gets on base and can hit
than abreu who hits bombs and hit doubles with obp
than laroche who will do the same
garcia with pop and speed
than ramirez
not worried about teh stolenz baseszzzz

I don't mind the deal but I think the money is a bit outrageous or a guy with his history. Unfortunately the league dictates it at this point. I'm having a hard time placing these guys in the field though. In my head they are going to be playing 3 DHers....
1) The money was less than expected ($14 million per on average).
2) It's less than the going rate for his production
3) Even at the end of the contract he's better than the LF (Viciedo) we had so he'll be the LF for the entire length.
4) LaRoche and Abreu are more than adequate at first and should be as long as we have them, so ehile one will DH, neither have to. Abreu and LaRoche I would say defensively are average which is fine. Abreu improved a ton at first thanks to Paulie (he was an all start last year in my eyes because of that to the team)
A couple pitching prospects step up for both teams and a red line series could finally be here. Or at least it isn't 0% chance by June 1st like usual.
What do you think is a reasonable slash line for the Melk man?
I would guess: 280/340/450 - 20 HR.
Melk Man should hit about 15-20 bombs.
So excited to see him in LF & not a clown like Viciedo.

wont happen. like this cub fan realist that called the score today...one of the few fans who said that the cubs are a team of unknowns and that they are growing players they still have no idea how the spects will be in the mlb

Melky has never hit 20 homers. Thats a stretch. Even on Peds he didnt hit 20.

baez, soler, bryant have never hit any significant amount of bombs but you have them penciled in to do so. just because he hasnt doesnt mean he wont. melky has a better chance to hit 20hrs than specs that you think will hit all these home runs without a lick of experience.

Has Castro gone to jail yet?
