First, I am not irate...yet...for the day...
2nd, you are making my point here. If the Redksins kept Cousins, there would be no need for Alex Smith, Case Keenum AND drafting Haskins because they would still have a QB.
They are no better by letting Cousins walk.
Well...they made their case different at conception. Rather than pay Cousins 25 million they paid Alex Smith draft picks plus 25 million. That was a player evaluation they may have gotten wrong, but certainly increased their risk going to a mobile QB over a pocket passer. (based on QB style)

Their best move may have indeed been to not pay a veteran at all, suck a little worse, and draft someobody better than Haskens. Its hard for me to make this point with the Redskins, haha, because they are a shit show and just keep compounding problems, so I concede you the point, but I don't think you are right.

Zeke is a special RB. But with the Dallas OL a lot of other RB’s can be excellent too. Cowboys way overpaid IMO and are going to be in a tough position financially because of it. I’m going to enjoy watching their demise and implosion.

How do you know Haskins isn’t good? Scouts seemed to think he was a fairly safe pick to be solid

I don't want Haskins or Jalen Hurts for the NFL...but you can keep hunting for "the one" all you like. One day there will be a Tim Tebow like athlete who can actually anticipate and throw like Tom Brady. Maybe its Hurts...it looked like Griffin might change the game...I for one thought Tebow deserved another shot with somebody...like Jacksonville what they **** were they doing with their team they couldn't give Tebow a shot? But alas...

its nothing Haskins has done, its just a history of that type of guy not winning superbowls. They can be good, but they will always be an injury risk, generally get worse not better over time, and can't put you over the top or beat a good playoff defense in weather.

But if I had to guess, knowing the Redskins, and the body type...yeah no...I'm a no on Haskins if you pin me down.

Okay but do you really want to waste another great Chicago Bears D because we were so eager to find “the one” we got ourselves thrown right back into QB purgatory. And by “that type of guy” what exactly do you mean?

Can we at least wait and see what trubisky does this year before we decide the bears need to replace him with literally anyone else?

It's a huge contract, but the offense and passing game don't operate without him.

I just can’t imagine paying a RB that much money in today’s NFL. Blows my mind.

I would use his ass as much as possible now for the next 5-6 years or however long it is until he starts asking for another contract. 25-30+ touches a game. He's one of those solid built RB's that will last in this league so run that ****** and make him earn that contract and then after the 5-6 years, if you don't think you can get another 2-3 good/great years out of him then let him walk and if you do then get him to sign a 3 year deal.

This is kind of talk is repulsive and should have no place on this board (or at least not outside of the bar)

Tim Tebow, fullback like quickness and running ability, similar to Haskins, imo.

But we have seen the league continue to chew up any type of QB that uses their feet often, Rodgers and Alex Smith should be included in that. Russel Wilson has played through injuries, even Newton who stands strong is getting chewed up.

Big Ben was impervious and the best at playing through injury. We should take notice with Trubisky though, he is a bit smaller bit speedier version of Tebow with a better mind, better offense.

Dak might deserve 20-25...fine.

My point is if he asks to be highest paid QB, you show him the door and welcome him back to negotiating if he wants to be reasonable.

Zeke deserved #1 RB money, is the big difference. Amari Cooper and Dak Prescot should not be in the top 5 of their positions. Dak should be borderline top 10.

Inevitable hamstring injury in week 1 for Zeke. Seems to be SOP for guys that miss TC at skill positions.

Oh god please no. I've done 10 of my 11 cash league drafts and for some damn reason i've gotten the #4 or #5 in 6 of them and have taken E.Elliott in every single one cause i always trusted he would get his deal done. I stayed far away from M.Gordon and drafted A.Ekeler in a couple though. Hopefully they'll ease him in for game one and then i just gotta decide if i should still start him in game one. I'm sure i will since they play the Giants.

I’m not disagreeing with you about what Dak should be paid because you’re right he’s not worth top 5 money.

However I take it you don’t usually watch many OSU games because your evaluation of Haskins couldn’t be more wrong. He’s actually not that athletic of a QB. He’s much more of a pocket passing QB who likes to go through progressions. He’s black though so people like Stephen A go on TV and say he’s athletic and likes to run around all over the field.
Here are some of his highlights from OSU
