Is Bickell overpaid? probably, maybe, what if he goes on a run .... any GM in the league would have given him that contract after his playoff performance, and the potential he showed, especially when he took less to stay here. I'm not real sure the Hawks win that last cup without Bickell. Your hindsight allows you the luxury to think you know better than the GM and you would get every contract on the roster perfect. If you notice, pretty much any roster on any team in any sport will ALWAYS have a bad contract.... it happens and you key in on it like you are the fucking high and mighty god of all GMs.

Right now these 4 lines look awfully damn good and you don't know what the rest of the season will look like. The cap says someone will have to go, what if streaky Sharp goes cold for 2 months like he has done in the past? He's a bigger cap hit than Bickell.

Hell no, 3 million for Stalberg? When did I ever say the Hawks should've kept him for that? I said he should be dressed over Bollig in the playoffs if thats what you're referring to, and I'll stand by that because that's a no brainer. Also seeing as they went ahead and did that. A lot of fucking guys should be dressed over Bollig in the playoffs.

I'm not saying Bickell didn't contribute or didn't play a big role in winning the Cup, because he did. And I'm not saying they should trade him now and disrupt whatever chemistry you believe he brings. But there has to be decisions made after this season is over. And he simply doesn't contribute during the season nearly enough to be worth the kind of cap hit he has. You can't afford to have a 4 million dollar cap hit player that does little to nothing through the regular season anymore when you're about to take on the two highest cap hits in the league. I'll take Sharp over him every day, even with his "two month long" cold streaks.

Guy still sucks. The Hawks have 3 good lines and the Shaw/Bickell/Carcillo line That line has been awful up until tonight.
