i like affalo but jr is leaps better pun intended

I like him too...either would be good, I just think the ceiling for Smith may be higher, and right now, he has more skills than Affallo. I think Denver keeps Affallo because he is very cheap right now for what he can do....

how cheap do you think affallo will be next year? he's on a career season, and this is the last leg of his contract.

I just feel Smith is too much of a knucklehead to work for this team. He's all about his own highlights and we have that in Watson. Don't need another one.

JR is a good player. I don't think he will be a problem, if he is, then you are no closer to or further from and NBA title. This team's chances are very, very slim. They will improve a bit if JR buys in, they will be about the same if he doesn't buy in and have to leave.

I don't know, but he only scores 13 points a game. He won't get that much.

13ppg is good enough for this team. We don't need another 25+ scorer. We need a guy to get about 13-15 per and defend his position well.

IMO Afflalo is someone we can go after because his contract means we don't have to send back any players to Denver (it's smaller than the cap space we have left). If Denver trades Melo it depends how much of a rebuild they want to do really. If they aren't super keen on keeping him I'd happily send over a couple of firsts (Charlotte pick included if needed) to land him.

He's not ever going to be anything but a solid 3s and D guy, but since we're starting Bogans for that now, and Afflalo is 1000 times better at it, he'd be a perfect fit.

Pretty sure salaries don't have to match, as far as I can tell Bulls are still under the cap by 2.5 million or so and Afflalo makes under 2 million.

we clearly don't have the shots for him on offense. he's a volume shooter. most of his shots will come while deng and boozer are on the bench. i dont know if he'll be happier here in chicago.

i think he meant that T-mac is taller than Jr smith. I agree with him. t-mac is about 6'8. jr is only 6'6.

Oh...ok...lol

My problem is, based on that dumb ass argument...TMac>Melo...GTFOH!!!!

I hate when people use lazy, b.s. analysis to prove a b.s. point...

Even this washed-up version of Tracy McGrady is way better than J.R. Smith. Anybody who believes otherwise watches way too much highlights and doesn't consider how the game is won. J.R. Smith is a terrible team player. If it was a 1-on-1 league, J.R. would be an All-Star every year. But unfortunately for him, it is 5-on-5 and he doesn't fit the build. There is no way J.R. Smith ever plays significant minutes on a championship team.
