Maybe I'm just being pessimistic after all our FA failures up to this point (minus last season), but I think we're getting the shaft and no one will take that paycut to sign with us. That's really their loss, but I think we're looking at another season of Keith Bogans.

That being said, I'll take Butler, Richardson, Crawford, even Shannon Brown in a heartbeat.

I dunno, that may be a bit pessimistic regarding another season of Bogans starting. We should see them pick up some help at the SG spot. :yep:

Don't get me wrong, I really hope they get someone, but I just get the feeling we'll be outbid. I don't have enough confidence in the players to take less money to win for some reason. Or if they do, they do it Miami. -_-

That said, if Lakers get Paul and Howard by some crazy miracle, it doesn't even matter anymore. Doubt that happens, but holy crap if it does. At least Miami wouldn't win...xD

Oh yeah, I already figured you'd be hoping for a good turn out like me. haha

I just find it hard to believe at this point in time that all of the players we are looking at and all that are interested in coming to Chicago....that atleast one player wouldn't be willing to take a cut to play on a winning team.

About the Paul/Howard LAL shit.....the Lakers will be lucky to aquire either of them. Kobe also said he wants to keep his big men the same on the court. I'm sure that's just his way of having their backs. Thing is, the more this goes on...the less teams would wanna deal with Bynum's unpredictable injuries. We'll see though as usual, right?

If the Lakers pull that off, I'm done with the NBA.

I'm just sick of the NBA allowing the Lakers to stack players year after year without having to suffer any penalty. No other teams can do what they constantly get away with.

The heat did it once, really. Twice if you count 2006. But the Lakers have been doing this since the 70's.

Wilt
Kareem
Shaq
Gasol, etc.

Granted they drafted good to great players, but they are allowed to stack players time after time.

Ive heard that Jamal Crawford is likley going to the Bulls in a S&T sending Ronnie Brewer to the Hawks not confirmed but it sounds like it will happen.

I really felt this way when the Heat got LeBron. I swear with the way the NBA has become the past decade, i would not watch it if Derrick Rose was not on the Bulls. I used to love watching every team whatever chance i got. Now im starting to dread every FA period, knowing the same teams will get all of the talent and now the fn center of the basketball universe is in the one place it doesnt belong, Miami fucking Floriduh

I am honestly not very excited about the idea of bringing in a player like Jamal Crawford or O.J. Mayo. Both are undersized defensively and don't space the floor very well. They create for others but Crawford (especially) over-dribbles like J.R. Smith.

I will be beyond pissed if we trade Brewer for Crawford.

If we get crawford, I would like to keep a guy like Brewer to make up for the D that Crawford never learned how to play

and honestly, Crawford isn't even THAT great of a shooter. When he's hot, he's very good.. but he can get cold very fast and can't make up for it in any way since he doesn't defend.

We'll basically have 2 kyle korver's except one is better at creating.

Ronnie Brewer is not that great of a defender in all honesty. He is up there in the defensive shooting guard position but the main thing he does is chase guys off set screens and jump quickly into passing lanes. He is a high-percentage shooter offensively with great athleticism along the baseline. But I think I'd trade him for Jamal Crawford.

I think Brewer is a very good defender. He gives the guys he is guarding a very hard time.. and he's always knocking the ball away from them. Even if it doesn't force a TO, is runs down the shot clock and gives the O a bad shot.

Has Korver ever scored 50+ points in game as a Chicago Bull? Awful comparison.

I would do this deal. I like Brewer but Crawford can light up the scoreboard any given night. Plus he can play the point so Rose can play off the ball. If we are going way over the MLE to get him though, I probably won't be particularly happy. But this is a solid deal for us & could still leave us with room to pick up another quality player like Butler, J-Rich, or  Grant Hill.

he's like Korver in the sense that they are both terrible defenders and can get cold very fast. When they get cold, how do they help the team? They don't... since they don't play D.

Crawford is better at creating his own shot, which I mentioned and he is a better ball handler.. but he isn't that good overall. Just a good scorer when he's hot.

before he got to ATL, his FG% was pretty bad. Even last season with ATL his FG% wasn't that great.

Crawford & Korver are no comparison. Crawford can score in more ways than Korver could ever dream of. And playing off D Rose, Crawford's offense would immediately improve. Short of a trade that brings K-Mart or Ellis here, JC is probably the best they can get for what they want right now, a starting-caliber 2, who can create his own shot & shots for others, allowing Rose to play off the ball more.

Or we could just trade for Captain Kirk. :troll:
