I get WHY the Bulls want Crawford... for the reasons you mentioned. He can create his own shot and take pressure off rose by handling the ball.

and I'd be okay with having him too.. as long as he was coming off the bench and we kept Brewer.

I don't like the idea of Crawford starting since he is inconsistent and can't defend.

he's just a nice spark off the bench, and that's why he has looked decent the past 2 seasons

another reason why I don't want crawford

If this is a S&T, Crawford will probably sign for close to 10 million a year over 3-5 years.

Problem is.. Crawford is almost 32 years old. If we get him and he sucks, it'll be really hard to trade him.

At least if someone accepts our Full MLE for 4 years 20.5 M, it'll be easier to trade them after 2 years if they don't pan out

I wouldn't hold my breath on Caron Butler.

J-Rich is still the best option(not best player), then make a big push for one of the 3 big RFA's(Afflalo, Thornton, Young).

Crawford & Korver are no comparison. Crawford can score in more ways than Korver could ever dream of. And playing off D Rose, Crawford's offense would immediately improve. Short of a trade that brings K-Mart or Ellis here, JC is probably the best they can get for what they want right now, a starting-caliber 2, who can create his own shot & shots for others, allowing Rose to play off the ball more.

Or we could just trade for Captain Kirk. :troll:

Korver and Brewer for JC and Kirk!

Ronnie Brewer is far from an ideal starter on the Bulls. Rose sucks in the defense and needs perimeter scorers who can wait to receive the ball in set spots and shoot. And if the help defense overplays then that player needs to be able to slash to the basket. Brewer can do neither of those things very well at all.

Ive heard that Jamal Crawford is likley going to the Bulls in a S&T sending Ronnie Brewer to the Hawks not confirmed but it sounds like it will happen.

Just read more on that a little bit ago.

If Caron Butler and Jason Richardson were both willing to take the full mid-level, I'd take Richardson every single time.

I read that since the Hawks are interested in Tmac it likely means JC is gone

So, Crawford for Brewer sounds good & all.....wonder when we'll get the official details on the proposed S&T? Does anyone see us adding a player to exchange for another? I'm not too sure about that myself, yet.

Well, we see Butler's true colors. He's about getting paid, not winning a title.

His loss, remember? :smug2:

LAC is a shithole organization. He is a good player, but if he's wanting more money. Then he can have his hollywood atmosphere & play ball with a guy who's extremely overrated that just dunks & doesn't play any defense. :bowrofl: (yes, I'm not impressed w/ Blake Griffin)

All-in-all we still got this possiblity of Crawford, Richardson & who ever else raises on the radar. :yep:

LOL at this.

Guy hasn't even signed with LA yet.

Damn people here are fickle.

Caron Butler's choices: SA or CHI for the $5 million midlevel exception, or NJ or LA Clippers for about $7 mill/year..

I feel as if Broussard just throws things out there & just hopes some of it sticks. I don't really believe anything he says.

Maybe I'm thinking of another journalist though..

KCJHoop Regarding Caron Butler, #Bulls have talked about--but not yet offered---full midlevel. Still reading market, considering options.

well what he said is true. us and SA can only offer the Full MLE.. NJ and LAC can offer more since they have cap room.

Caron Butler(notes) is a very wanted man this offseason. He's met with the Chicago Bulls, New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs, and Los Angeles Clippers this week. According to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc J. Spears, the Bulls currently top Butler's list of where he'd like to play next season.
Sources told Yahoo! that the 31-year-old "Butler left his meeting with the Bulls earlier this week with a deep appreciation for coach Tom Thibodeau."
Last year, Butler averaged 15 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists as he helped the Mavs to the team's first NBA championship.

Thibs is a stud!
