Back from vacation & free agency continues: the agent for Nate Robinson, Aaron Goodwin, says the veteran point guard will sign with Chicago today "barring unforeseen problems." Robinson averaged 11.2 points (42.4 percent shooting overall), 23.5 minutes, 1.2 steals and a career-high 4.5 assists per game with Golden State last season. Assuming the signing takes place, this will be the 28-year-old's fifth team since the 2009-10 campaign (NY, Boston, Oklahoma City, Golden State and the Bulls).

The way Teague sucked so much in summer league must have alarmed the Bulls.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking. Can't wait for the "PaxGar does nothing..." group to jump all over this. At least they recognize the name, so they might give him credit.

he averaged 11 and 4 in GS coming off the bench(i do keep in mind that GS plays a high tempo offense..but when you have guys like curry and thompson in the backcourt who are certainly above average offensively and david lee getting his share in the paint..this isn't bad)

i think he'd be a good fit, so long as he isn't being excessively paid(i know his last contract in GS was worth 4.5mil...should we expect around that ballpark?)

he's a guy that score in bunches and distribute the ball decently

I am betting the Bulls are not paying 4.5mil. They want to stay under the cap this year...so when they have to go over in the next couple of years...they won't have to pay the repeater rate.

When the bulls sought to "trim salary", i'm not sure this what they had in mind.

Always great to have guys like this off the bench. Instant spark, and a great locker room guy.

Good question...looked everywhere and still can't find the answer. They are paying Hinrich 3.94mil this season and 4.05mil next season...so I wouldn't be surprised if Nate got about half of that...which would be a pretty good deal for the Bulls.

Good signing. He can provide so much needed bench scoring & another good 3pt shooter. His D is going to give Thibs fits tho.

So...since we are signing Nate, does this mean we're not getting Superman? :smug:
