Well, your memory is failing you, because I have seen the Bulls and other teams get away with a lot in the past. Jordan included...but NEVER did I think the Bulls won a playoff series because of the refereeing...never. Nor did I consider it a factor in their winning. The Bulls in the 1990's were the better team and outplayed their opponents on most nights. That is why they won games.

In the NBA, 9 out of 10 times, the better team wins in the playoffs...just the way it is.

Because the Bulls of the 90s were some of the greatest teams in all of basketball. So naturally, they're going to win. Calls or not. However, I do not think the Heat are vastly superior to us. We're the freaking #1 seed and not by accident. We beat the Heat the first 4 times we played them and not by accident.

I guess the truth hurts...get over it because it ain't going anywhere...

Sorry, not the truth. Just a Special person who won't comment on the variety of other points brought up about a game but focuses in on point he is trying to make.

It is like a dog constantly chasing his tail, while the dogs around him are playing. Keep up the good work :)

The fact that you are complacent about the fact that the refs are sub-par is sad, not you personally, but the fact that the average fan just accepts it as part of the sport. That is very, very sad.

I don't like it but how are they gonna fix it? I am a pretty die hard NBA fan have LP every year these guys are so big and athletic it is tough to be fair. Go back to the rules pre 1994 and that would fix a lot. But for real name a solution?

This one was tough, honestly it never felt like the Bulls were in it even though it was close all game and they even took the lead briefly in the 3rd quarter. The shots just aren't falling and Bosh has been nearly unstoppable

Meh I thought our D was good but we obviously couldn't stop Bosh's Jumpshots, he was just hot
This I agree with. Bosh had impactful points without many foul calls giving him free points.

Boozer scored, but had no impact at all.

losing to the Pacers? You guys damm near swept us. It is part of the game dealing with the refs in the Pacers series they let us play and so we played. Most Pacer fans agreed that the series was very poorly officiated both ways. BTW I picked Chicago to win pre playoffs im rooting for Chicago to win it isnt about you guys losing. Most of my family is Bulls fans so i root for them as long as they aren't playing the Pacers.

You got me all wrong. I agree that the officiating sucked in the Pacer's games both ways but it is getting horrible during this series and I know you picked us to win and hope you wouldn't pick the Heat but my point is that while our offense is holding us back the refs are just being lopsided and putting more weight on the anchor that is holding us down.

Having refs that aren't coached pre-game on what team or what individual to pull for? I'm not trying to start a conspiracy theory here, but it is well known the refs in the NBA are the worst. Other leagues don't cater as hard to their superstars as the NBA does. Nor have other leagues had serious scandals with their refs like the NBA does.

My solution? Change the commish and clean up the refs locker room. There is some shady business going on behind the scenes.

I don't think the Bulls were vastly superior to some of those teams they beat either. But that is neither here or there...the Bulls lost this game and the Heat won it. What the referees are doing they have been doing since the beginning of the sport. To blame the refs for this and other losses is just crazy to me...

When the Bulls beat the Pacers in game 1, I had a Bulls hater tell me that the refs threw that game for the Bulls by gifting fouls for Rose. I disagreed with him...I take that stance no matter who is playing. Are there exceptions? Of course there are...just haven't seen it happen in this series.

Ya I don't like Stern the lottery seems like it is rigged and a lot of the NBA is. The problem with that solution it is never gonna happen. I mean they proved a ref was cheating and nothing changed. There really is nothing i can do about the refs so i just don't find it helpful to complain about them im use to it. It has been terrible since i started watching the NBA and i see no changing. That is why i prefer watching the NCAA Tourney over the NBA playoffs. Anything can happen and refs don't give superstars calls.

Terrible officiating.

No justification. It's their job, they should do the shit right.

Three different refs on two different games yet same result..oh yeah it got WORSE.

Ok I'm done arguing. The refs sucked and I will leave it at that.

Here's what the Bulls need to do to overcome and stay in the series:
1) Make shots
2) Don't allow Heat players open shots. There were a ton in this game and that is inexcusable no matter how the game is being called
3) Don't stop being aggressive. Force your way to the free throw line like Lebron and Wade do. Granted, we won't get as many fouls, but it'll even it out a bit.
4) Move the ball on offense. When there was motion, we got an easy shot. More of this and it'll be more like the first 3 quarters of all the games so far.
5) Play Taj more. He is clearly bringing it on both ends of the floor. His energy was key to game 1, was virtually nonexistent in game 2, and again in game 3.
6) If Wade or Lebron for whatever reason go out of the game, bring in Korver. He clearly struggles when both are on the floor because he can't guard either of them for his life and can't get a shot off against them. Stick with Brewer, at least he can contribute consistently with the defense.

True. Either way there were some shots that open shots that we didn't even jump at. Also that one play Lebron had where he shot it up and got his own rebound and put it back in annoyed me. We need to stop plays like that more than anything. Either way they outplayed us.

True, I don't really think there is an answer. Again, very sad.

I guess it just diminishes my passion for the NBA. And by no means do I claim to be the biggest Bulls fan ever. I am much more into NFL, NHL and MLB. The biggest reason why the NBA is a distant 4th is because of how corrupt the referring is.

It's a universal /shrug to the problem and that just tells me that it won't be getting any better anytime soon.

#3 on your list will be the hardest test as I don't want to see Rose or anybody get hurt because they are tying to force a foul while James and Wade are almost guaranteed one once they drive and I definitely agree with #5. Anybody else see that Boozer played his best when Miami's bench was on the floor?

I'll throw in a #7: make 3s. They won the game for us in game 1 and we've been pretty cold since. This one is probably hardest next to #3 because we're so streaky. Deng's spending all his energy chasing Lebron, Korver can't get it going because Wade or Lebron close out to fast, Watson doesn't really look to shoot 3s because he's too busy trying to find someone else, Rose is driving like he should and is really only taking open 3s, Bogans is Bogans (though one more 3 would be nice) and we can't ask too much more from him, and no one else can make 3s except for Rasual Butler and he doesn't play. Deng made 4 3s in game 1 and I think that was the difference (the timing of each was key). I think he had 2 today. He hits a couple more and maybe we're pressing less down the stretch,

Yep it truly sucks and I really don't like how he can instantly fine players for speaking their minds about the refs either. Kind of dictator-ish to me

I am not sure, will have to look it up, but I believe one of the deciding factors was Alonzo Mourning saying in 1995 that the commissioner and basketball didn't want his team to beat the Bulls so it was setup for them to fail. He went on like that for about an hour after the deciding game. I think they should be more lenient when players do it, especially after the game, but owners, gms and other people in basketball should be fined.

Some of the calls were horrible. At one time, the Heat shot 14 FT's to the Bulls 5 FT's. It sucks, but turnovers also didn't help me.

Rose didn't have a great game, he needs to in Game 4. MUST WIN.
