Flyers fans loved him. I'm sure he's bummed he's hurt and suspended.

I'd like Carcillo to stay on the Hawks, less risk of hurting his own players with bonehead plays. And I, stupidly perhaps, think he could improve and just become a hard-nosed pest instead of a moron.

Flyers fans beat up off duty cops that were war veterans.
Did you guys here about that one yet?
I just read about it. He didn't stand up and say "I'm an off duty Cop" or "I'm an Iraq war hero". That shit happens everywhere. It's dumb, drunk fans.
How about the guy beaten outside the Giants stadium last year? Or the Bruins fan beaten in the street of Vancouver? It happens everywhere.
Klemmer, I would agree with you if these suspensions were for on ice incidents, but only one was, the one this year, which wasn't really worth a suspension at all.
I had heard his suspension starts tonight as well. If he hasn't been put on the IR then it makes sense. I think it may be shitty, but if I was the book keeper for the organization or any business, it is a good move, fiscally.
Remember Fleury? The Hawks did some fancy stuff to get rid of him.
I hate the Flyers only because their fans. **** them.
How do you define on ice incidents? Because to me, there's more than just one on ice incident:
Sucker punching Bradley before he got his gloves off to fight
Punching Talbot at the end of a game during a face off
Pitkanen hit, like it or not, it was a dumb, dangerous play
Cross checking Clarkson in the face
Hit on Gilbert
These are just the things that are caught. You know there have to be other incidents that he hasn't been fined for which now he might be. He's a dumb player, he makes dirty plays. Not to mention his embellishing, completely faking being hurt by a high stick and then arguing it. **** him. He made his reputation, that's him doing those things, not any ref, there's no one else to blame for that but him. He's gotten what he deserves. Yes he is a target, rightfully so by his actions and behavior. Of course they will be watching him closer than other players, because he still hasn't learned. You can't expect the benefit of the doubt for this guy, he hasn't earned it. Probably never will, and that's all on him.
Completely different situation. Fleury's issue was more so with the NHL directly. He voilated the substance abuse policy, twice.
Im actually wondering why Scott was scratched. I really think he actually has helped the blueline in our own zone. O'Donell? not so much.
Its strange to say and its strange to feel but i think its actually true Scott is a better defenseman than O'Donell.
