Caron Butler vocal about wanting to join Bulls

According to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, Caron Butler is working out in Chicago and has the Bulls at the top of his list for preferred destinations.

I know he's not a 'true' two guard in the same vein as Jason Richardson, but if Butler took the MLE, I think he could be a solid fit to our roster.

Thoughts?

And he didn't put Cleveland over the top with a fully loaded lebron Cav team, so why would he put the Bulls over the top??????

I'm for it. he would be a nice fit and provide some versatility to the lineup.

You throw out there for a stretch:

PG: Rose
SG: Deng
SF: Butler
PF: Boozer/Gibson/Noah
C: Asik/Noah

THat would be tough to defend in any combination of F/C you put out there.

Butler, even with shotty knees, is a GREAT option. If he comes to play for less then the Bulls may win it all next year. Hell, they would maybe be the favorites to win it all.

I would take him over Brandon Roy even considering that he plays off of the ball and hasn't had micro-fracture knee surgery on both knees.

Antawn Jamison is the person you are thinking of.

And Butler is so much better than Mayo and Lee on defense and rebounding that it is almost ridiculous.

Caron can ball. I seen him grow a lot as a player with the Wizards. He is definitely a guy who can take over when Rose is off. He is a good one on one player and for all the people talking about getting somebody to get the team over the Heat, Caron is that guy. Nobody on the Heat's roster can guard him, he is that good of an isolation scorer.

Caron Butler is an awkward 2-guard but he played it last year in Dallas, and the year prior, next to Shawn Marion.

I'd take Butler at the 2 any day over Keith "stand-and-shoot" Bogans.
