The agent for Rashard Lewis said the Washington Wizards told him they don’t plan to use the league’s amnesty clause on the forward.

Lewis is the NBA’s second highest-paid player, trailing only Kobe Bryant with a $21.1 million salary this season and $22.7 million in 2012-13. The proposed amnesty rule in the new labor agreement would allow the Wizards to waive Lewis and remove the money owed him from the team salary for cap and tax purposes.

Lewis averaged 11.7 points and 5.1 rebounds for Washington and Orlando last season.

“It’s not going to happen,” Dutt said. “I spoke to them [Wednesday] afternoon. They see him as a big part of what they hope to do going forward, not only as a player but a leader.”

Now Wilbon is saying that Jamal Crawford wants to join the Bulls. Not sure about that one.

Good to see teams interested in coming here. Hopefully they realize the cap situation and would be willing to take a cut in pay to join the Bulls.

I think Crawford off the bench would be great. He wouldn't though.

If Butler really wanted to come here, he'd know that he'd have to take a pay cut. Unless there's a sort of sign and trade deal where we give Dallas Korver or something. With the interest in Nick Young popping up as well, I wouldn't mind going that route instead, though I'd think the money issue would be more relevant with Young than Butler.

At this point in his career, after watching his Mavs teammates play in & win the Finals, Caron is hungry for a ring. I think it's very possible he could sign here with the MLE. And I would be :fap:

Doug says that he cant play the 2.

What makes a 2 a 2 and a 3 a 3? I know sf are usually bigger but there are some 2 guards that are bigger than 3's?
