I would not mind seeing Butler playing the 2 at all.

Obviously the knee injury is a concern but Butler would be a nice fit at the 2 guard spot....and...if he works out...(possibly)makes Deng expendable to a certain extent if a big deal came along(Howard?) That's getting WAY ahead of ourselves at this point...but....it would at least provide some flex at the wing come trade times if we needed to.

Wade's too small. Butler has a knack of getting the shot he wants off against LeBron. Seeing Butler in Washington and the two games last year, LeBron doesn't bother Butler's shots.

The most important thing Butler would bring is an extra player who can guard either Wade or LeBron. Bogans did a nice job against Wade but was a liability offensively. Butler is a player who can be a post-up option, take you off the dribble offensively, run off of screens and shoot, or spot-up and shoot.
