Pretty stormy today.
I don’t think it stopped raining 1 time throughout the day. And it was cold afPretty stormy today.
Mostly rain here.. wind has picked up today.. I guess was heavier during the night too. Lightning and minor thunder last night but nothing too serious.. We're at just over 3 inches right now in the last 24 hours. Sump pump runs every 2 minutes. All Hell broke loose last night. It's been raining on and off for a few weeks but last night was special. Didn't get any sleep. So much lightning that I didn't really need to turn on lights. Dog and cat just wanted to be held. All of the fields that I can see are flooded. Bad night.

I guess this makes up for not having any real rain since like.. June.
Not here.. much of the northern region was in drought conditions. We have had too damn much rain most of this year.

Imagine if the extra water was being pumped out and sold to California, Vegas, Salt Lake, etc.
I know it'd never happen, but it would be revenue that ought to reduce the need for taxes in Illinois.
In an ideal world though, it'd be treated in such a way that oil payments are in Alaska. Residents would essentially get a payment every year for x amount of money.I know, I lol'd while typing it.
Think we could afford a diversion pipe over to New Mexico as well???? Asking for a friend.Imagine if the extra water was being pumped out and sold to California, Vegas, Salt Lake, etc.
