I prefer the other Kirkland vodka. Less expensive and better tasting. Also the bottle is not obnoxiously tall.

I was gonna try that next. Better tasting?

Also I like the tall bottle. But it does suck if u dont have a compatible freezer I suppose.

The frosted glass bottle that is 12.99 is really really good. It was my go to when I was drinking Vodka all the time. I think it is at least as good as the tall french bottle with the red on it. My opinion on the taste. I am sure some would disagree.

The problem with the tall bottle is it wouldn't fit on my bar under the top cabinets! Lol I had to leave it on the kitchen counter where there isn't a top cabinet, and it is a ***** to pour as well. I suppose I could get fancy and use a decanter like a real alcoholic, but that seems like I would be wasting time filling bottles when I could be busy drinking bottles. Maybe I am the real alcoholic here.

Oh...

I am currently drinking a Citra Pale Ale from Upslope a brewery out of Boulder.

The ingredient list is interesting: Snowmelt, Malt, Citra Hops, Yeast.

It is not too hoppy, decent tasting, definitely citrus forward. A good Christmas afternoon beer. Have to go see some friends for dinner in a couple of hours and then off to see some other friends. I think it may end up being a drunken evening. Don't worry I know how to use the Uber app. Also, don't know if they are doing it where any of you are located, but they are giving ten bucks off Uber rides here for two rides, for the holidays. I just googled for the codes and put them in the app and it will auto discount the rides.

Pretty sure we've never discussed boofy before.

we didn't. congress did, though ;-). see kavanaugh.

and @marylandbear111, yes, the dry hoppedness makes all the difference for me.

some already know, but this kicked me off into the dry hopped cider abyss (although this year's distribution doesn't taste as good, or else my taste buds are changing)--

I'm sure some of you are haler than I, but 4 of these at 7% fucks me right up, so watch out!

Today, is the first day of a 30 day dry period.

A few of the new ones will come out on fire but don't usually have a lot available. When word gets out about a good beer the beer hounds pounce, it's crazy.
Not only do they pound the brewery to get a bottle, they also pound the secondary market to make a buck off of it.

I have never had a dry hopped cider. I gotta try one.

Have you ever had a wine IPA? I caught one out of silver spring MD last week. kind of weird tasting, but something to try i guess.

no. I had a White Claw when there was nothing left to drink while camping. Will keep my eye out for WIPA's in a pinch.

To this, I happened into Bosque brewing on a special release day.

Some crazy piney IPA. They were selling them for 15$ per four pack 16oz with a limit of six four packs (a case, duh) and they couldn't keep the fridge full.

I watched them move easily 75 cases of beer in the couple hours I was there. At 15 bucks a four pack.

I considered buying up a case and sitting on it for a few months then selling it off. I'm sure I could've gotten ten dollars a can. People are nucking futs about those special releases.

Haven't had that, but recently a few breweries around here have done the brut IPA.

It's an IPA with a champagne dryness to it. Interesting, not my most favorite, but interesting.

I've had the brut IPAs from sevreal breweries, and in my opinion, they generally suck. guessing wine IPAs are something different, since they aren't champagne.

tbh, $15/4pack isn't that bad of a price.
