No worries... not looking ahead. Completely enjoying the cold steel on ice. Absolutely amazing team we have this year and whats even better about it... the age of pretty much the entire team. So young... this is just the beginning of greatness.

At this point I would be floored if the Hawks don't win the whole thing. They are in excellent, excellent position considering that their potential next opponent will be a 7 or 8 seed.

Which both beat a 1 and 2 seed....

Montreal beat Washington, and now they are worn out, exhausted after two 7 game series. Every other team in that conference was very weak.

And Philadelphia beat New Jersey which was a #2 Seed, and Boston who was one of the better teams in the east.

Im failing to see how Chicago has a good chance at winning because they are 7 and 8 seeds.

I thought I made it clear in my last post. Washington was the only team I respected in that entire conference. The East was a joke this year, New Jersey included!!!!!!!! Martin Brodeur wasn't the same goalie after the Olympics, he was terrible. So I don't respect the fact that Philadelphia beat them.

I think Chicago will sweep Philadelphia. Okay?

Im sure they are really shook up that you dont respect them...it still doesnt explain why the Hawks should not be worried about a 7 and 8 seed.

Why would the Hawks be worried about a Montreal team that is GASSED right now? They have nothing left, they won't beat Philly who had an easy first round series.

Now onto Philly who is the 7 seed. They beat an overrated New Jersey team and a terrible Boston team that complete collapsed after being up 3-0.

Hawks beat an excellent Nashville team that has an excellent system, an excellent Vancouver team, and are on the verge of completely dismantling an elite San Jose Sharks team that beat in Detroit in 5.

So if after that explanation, you still don't get it, I would suggest going to bed, getting some sleep, and think about it again in the morning.

That terrible Boston team only collapsed because of injuries, a team can only hold on for so long before falling to shit..

I like how you say the #7 team the Hawks beat is excellent but are quick to discredit the Flyers who are also a #7 team. Btw, in the Regular season the Flyers scored more goals and allowed the same as the Preds...sooo if the Preds played us to brink, what do you think the Flyers are going to do?

The Flyers will be arguably the biggest and toughest team the Hawks have faced personnel wise, and you expect them to waltz in there and just sweep?

Btw, I wouldnt call a 2-1 win and a 4-2 win dismantling the Sharks, why dont you hold off on the Stanley Cup Parade until this team proves it can actually play consistently at home?

We don't need to play consistently at home with the way we are playing on the road.

I would call it a dismantling considering SJ is a very tough place to play and the Hawks just walked in there and won 2 games fairly easily.

The Flyers may have had better stats but Nashville is a system team. They don't make mistakes, they play hard, and every player knows their assignment. They played pretty much a flawless series and their goalie was standing on his head to keep them in it. Are the Flyers gonna do that? I think not. For God's sakes, they are using a BACKUP goalie.

Dude do u really think the #7 seed the Flyers can hang with the Hawks? What more do the Hawks have to prove? THEY ARE PLAYING FANTASTIC HOCKEY AND HAVE INSANE TALENT!!!!!!!!! Flyers cannot handle us, they will get swept.

The Preds are a system team that cant score goals, and still took the Hawks to the edge of elimination. If I would have told you prior to Game 1 of the Preds series that the hawks would have to rally AT home, to not go down 2-0 would you have believed me? Probably Not.

I think on any given night, because of the way this team is, they can be beat. This team has a serious case of letting their guard down and getting comfortable instead of going for the kill. And I would say going into a series where you have Home Ice Advantage you should be able to win consistently at home.

Hm, is it weird that you sound just like all the Devils fans, Caps fans, Penguins fans and Bruins fans?

Once again, seeding doesn't matter in the NHL playoffs. It's already been proven this year that it doesn't come down to how many stars you have or how highly regarded your goalie can be, it comes down to who has the heart to make it through. It comes down to effort. The Flyers were not the same team they were in the first 34 periods of this offseason after Laviolette called the timeout in the 34th period. Miracles happen, especially in hockey. Who would have thought the 4th seeded Penguins would have won last year?

ummmm...im defending your flyers you tard.

I picked the Flyers and Hawks in the Cup before the playoffs started.

You would also be blind to think that Injuries didnt play a large part in the way that series turned out.

Oh wow, if you think SJ is a tough place to play, you haven't seen anything yet. And it's funny, it's like you're looking at a sheet of paper. Have you been watching us or Leighton play? He's been playing... Leight's Out. Better than the "number one goalie," who has let 7 goals past him.

Are you a Flyers fan? Why are you trying so hard to prove to me that Philadelphia can beat the Hawks? I don't get it.

So just so I get this straight, you're predicting Philly over the Hawks? I want to make sure I have my info straight.

Can you read? All he's telling you to do is stop being such a flaming homer and realize that it isn't going to be that easy. God, you may be the worst poster I've ever come across.

With regards to Halak, that entire team is gassed. They had to play two crazy intense series. They just ran out of gas and that is why you guys are beating them so easy. If you think your goalie is gonna shut down the Hawks :lmao:

LOL WOAH SLOW DOWN A MINUTE.

Coming back down from 3-0 to win 4-3 in a 7 game series, then playing a team who rested an extra couple of days by beating them 6-0 then 3-0 definitely doesn't make our team just as gassed.
:lmao:

Im not making any predictions about the Hawks, im also not drinking the Kool-aid and thinking this team is the greatest team on ice.

I prefer to root for my team (which if you couldnt tell by the sig and avatar, is the Blackhawks), but still be able to use logical thought behind my arguments.

If the Hawks make it past the Sharks, ill treat the Stanley Cup Finals exactly like I treated the past 3 rounds, and that is taking it game by game.

It seems 80% of this board thinks the Hawks are going to win this series and the next series via sweep, but most of you fail to realize the Hawks are not the most consistent team in the world, and have proved all year they will drop their guard and loss a few games before they play back up to par. Its been a continuous theme thought the whole playoffs.
