The rules are simple on this, come here post about the player you wish to praise or rip, and share why. Also this is a whole organization so NHL players and staff can be ripped or praised, along with AHL players and staff. Disputes are welcome, but keep them fiendly :p

obvious one..

Bickell. He's been so bad, lazy and un-physical that it's actually confusing and slightly worrisome. He's been so bad that I wish we could just chalk it up to a slump but it seems like its more than that. The guy isn't expected to be a 30 goal scorer or even a 20 goal guy. He just needs to be a real physical presence and chip in 10 to 15. Basically just make the game easier for his teammates and harder for the other team.

There's no excuse for not using your body when you're as big as he is. I've said it before, but anyone can play physical and hard nosed hockey. It's a decision much more than it's a skill set. The Hawks have a need for him to be that kind of player and he has the body and ability to be that kind of player. He's just not choosing to do that, even after being scratched.

Hope he turns it around.

Praise to montador. He's beenvery good paired up with Scott carrying that pairing. He stepped up his play because he was out there with Scott. He also has become very important piece to the power play

With 4 PP goals, Brunette has to either be leading the team in that category, or near the top of the list.

As I said multiple times, Brunette should only be considered a PP specialist, and you'd be hard put to find a 4th liner that could produce on the PP to the level he has so far.

John Scott is garbage. He have naked pics of Q's wife or something?

If you're not going to play SOD then go get another NHL quality d-man.

When we signed Brunette I wanted and expected more than a power play specialist. Wel, honestly I didn't but my buddies did. I thought it was a douche moveS they were talking first line talent and I thought 3rd or 4th. We needed a player in that spot and for his money we could have had much better. Vinny Prospal was my pick for that spot... Fuck me.

He played really well in the first 10ish games. I'm not really sure what happened. That line was so good and now they have dropped big time. It's a good thing they got a great player in Ben Smith to help them pick it up.

Stalberg has been really good, but in my opinion, it's just a good example of how Toews makes his linemates better. Toews uses Stalberg's strengths to produce goals.

Toewsgod :yeah:

Stalberg's speed has really stretched the ice allowing sharpie and toews to get in open spaces...it really is a nice line combo

Hrm, well that says what you expected, but not what you based your expectations on.

With the money the team had under the cap, it wasn't a matter of "it's either player A (e.g. Prospal) or Brunette". The team had money for both, it was a matter of the Hawks, for whatever reason, didn't want Prospal.
