Castro's been more patient lately it appears. Probably in-part due to Rizzo coming up...I do think Rizzo missed a sign there...but I guess that's gonna happen w/ young guys.

Nice job by Maholm/Castro getting out of the bottom w/out giving up a run.

There were a couple of articles posted somewhere around here the past couple of days stating how Castro's approach while batting in the 2-hole is different than hitting in the 3-hole. He goes in looking to see more pitches, work more walks... rather than going after the first pitch he thinks is hittable.

He also stated how Rizzo coming up took a lot of pressure off of him. So, maybe he's also relaxing more at the plate. I have noticed how it seems he and LaHair have heated up since Rizzo got the call.

Yes sir! Wasn't it a hell of a trade?

:nelson:

I'm gonna give you credit for coming up w/ a 'joke' that was deeper than the surface level. I think you did it, and I wasn't sure I got it at first.

Solid game from the Cubs. I've like what I've seen the past week or so.

I wouldn't get too used to it, but it's definitely nice to see the Cubs not completely suck.

Remember, the Cubs got onto one hell of a roll earlier on too. Exactly 2 months ago to be exact. Last week of April through the first week of May.

That was an awesome trade. I wonder why they didn't think of that one sooner.

Switched card trick. The Marmol we saw earlier was actually Eduardo Sienez... a famous Carlos Marmol imitator from the DR. So, just as the rest of the MLB believed Marmol was all done... they pulled the DL stint, which gave time to send Sienez back to the DR and get Marmol back in Chicago.
