i just traded Lincecum for Demp in a fantasy league lol

Now.. Lincecum will rebound in the second half... and Demp will fall apart. At least that was my luck when making those kinds of trades in fantasy leagues.

LAA would never offer that. So thats just a horrible argument

No the point is that you make any deal that makes your team better. I've agreed that the price for Castro would be so high that no team is going to offer enough, but the point is that you trade anyone if the deal is right. You said that Washington wouldn't listen to offers on Strasburg or Harper, but as I've shown there are deals that would make the Nationals better. It isn't going to happen, but this idea that you can't trade guys under any circumstances is dumb.

Anyone can be avaible so called. But there are untouchables in the league. Castro is one of them cause no one would pay the price

No one is untouchable. To be untouchable would mean that there was no way possible to trade the guy. You are correct, though. Guys get pretty close to that level due to the price tag a trade would cost the other team... and team's almost always being unwilling to pay it. Just a couple of years Mauer was considered untouchable... now he's being shopped.

Funny thing about Mauer he was basically untouchable cause how good he was 2 yrs ago, now basically untouchable cause of the contract.

Hence why you aren't a MLB GM.

there a very good chance the Potential guy would be older then the all star in this deal lmao

another reason im not GM is cause there only 30 jobs avaible. Im about the 2,999,999 qualified guy lol

The point is that it would be stupid to trade an asset like Castro for just anything, but if you can buy an entire farm (especially two elite prospects and a couple more solid upside guys) then yeah, at least consider it. But now we're going in circles again.

He easily one of the best SS in NL.

Hitting .300 in MLB not easy. If it was alot more guys do it. Not many 22 y/o have

.301 career hitter through almost 1500 AB and still only 22 (thus 4+ years from his prime).... improving power numbers... vastly improving defense.... improving running game... No, he's not proven. He's only putting up better numbers than 95% of all other players have through his age.... and he's only improving. So no, he's not proven..... We still don't know how excellent he's going to be. But we do know he's one of the premiere SS in the game already. But he's definitely not proven at all... oh no.... Oh, and he doesn't deserve an AS nod... putting up the best numbers for an NL SS each of the past two years... I suppose being one of the top ranked SS in the NL at the AS break in both of his AS appearances isn't good enough, huh, Dewey?

Grr... left out a couple of necessary words there. Fixed on the edit.

How are we ranking NL SS? He certainly isn't the highest in terms of OBP or OPS. He is a very good player right now with the possibility of being special. Some tned to overrate his offensive ability because of the batting average and hit totals, but I think Dews is taking it to the other extreme when implying that he isn't an above average player right now.
