Since we're on the subject, any of you guys ever have this stuff?

Comes in a jar and is more like paste in consistency. Shit is magic. Sooo good. Here's some Amazon reviews.

Is that like a sriracha paste?

I've had chili garlic sauce before, but it was a different brand so idk if it's really comparable or not. It was ok though.

Kind of. I think it has more flavor in it than the normal squeeze bottle sriracha (and I fucking love that stuff too). Check out the Amazon reviews I just linked in my post above.

If it is the same kind of stuff that I'm thinking of, I can see why people would like it a lot. Sriracha tends to serve my purposes well enough (in fact, I should go out an get another bottle as my home is currently void of hot sauce).

On the topic of hot sauce, have you tried Cholula? It's a Mexican hot sauce, so not really much in the actual spiciness category, but flavor wise it's pretty good. I like it a lot on eggs.

Yep. The Mexican joint I frequent has that out on the tables. I like it, but would like it more if it was hotter. I could see it working on eggs though.

Yeah the Mexican style hot sauce is really not about being hot at all, funny enough. It's literally only there for adding flavor. Would be nice if there was an actual spicy version of Cholula though, that'd be great...kinda like Sriracha, but with a Mexican style flavor lol.

Kinda both...hispanic in-laws :)

I hate the vinegar in the store stuff.

I make killer salsas
Try sriracha if you like...no vinegar at all in the formula. It's sorta like a chili pepper sauce. I do love me some Hispanic style hot sauce and salsa though...dang good stuff.

And idk why, I just imagine you making pico for everything lol

Good Mexican food doesnt require hot sauce.

Ride your tractor across the Idaho State line at some point.

Since we got on the topic of hot sauces and junk.

What would you all recommend I add to my Chili recipe to add a mild heat?

Something seriously mild.... I am not a big heat guy.... I have made enough batches that got too spicy, so making it too spicy is not a challenge.

I know this will be difficult for you Ghost Chili eating crazy people but try.... for me.
