Exactly, if he can get the money somehere else good for him. I'm all bout saving money for Sharp

I agree. Sharp sould be priority #1. But, this looks like a classic case of a player following his agent's advice and the it backfiring on him later....it's so late in the game that there might not be a team out there who needs him and still has the room to pay his over-inflated asking price.

This fodder about him and his agent looking bad etc is crazy. He wants to get paid, I dont see what is wrong with that. I didnt see him sign with the worst team in the NHL yet, so before some of you rush to judge him "doesnt want to be on a stanley cup contender" BS, lets see where he signs first.

*** And it isnt like the hawks are a stanley cup favorite right now anyway.

FWIW, turnovers happen all of the time in hockey... so this one resulted in a series winning goal in OT, but getting on a guy making turnovers pretty much means that some fans are going to be perpetually bitter at everyone.

Otoh, imho, these people are from the same crowd as those that don't get why players come off the ice after about a minute or 90 seconds.

Of course, they are all experts too. :talktohand:

Frankly it is kind of embarassing.

____

Edit - I get the sense that some people -despite their avs - can't reconcile that a turnover in hockey isn't the same thing as a fumble in (wth -I'll say it in Australian -for urinary purposes)... gridiron...

Want evidence? Get out a set of the 4 games the Hawks won against Philly in 2010... happened all of the time - in fact I seen Campbell make quite a few, Sopel having the puck bounce around on his skates in the crease of all places, like a pinball... etc...

passes picked off, etc - it's the way hockey is played, it is a fast game, and one that is highly instinctual - nothing is ever perfect on the ice -and frankly speaking..

Feces Happens... that's life on a rink at any level. No idea where some of these odd ideas about "perfection" come from? Too much Wii maybe, where every pass is one the tape??? Rofl... ok...

:lmao:
Those plays might get them 6 mil. a year in Wii hockey

Yep, like I stated before maybe he wants to go back to Ottawa and give them a cheaper price.

While Campoli's turnover may have been your run-of-the-mill, shit happens, average hockey turnover, it doesn't change the fact that this is the last memory that Hawks fans are going to have of him in their home-team's uniform.

Combine that with these contract negotiations and he isn't looking like the sharpest tool in the shed.

I'll agree that Campoli shouldn't be the scapegoat for the Hawks losing out in 2010-11, some fans still live and die with their teams and wear their emotions on their sleeves. And the last misty, water-colored memory of Campoli is going to be of him fucking up and then asking for more cheddar right afterwards.

Not looking good from a fans' perspective.

I find the love affair with Stan Bowman, Viktor Softberg & Chris Crapoli more embarrassing.

Thats the point of the argument. He shouldn't be remebered like that, especially the way he helped the team. Of course theres going to be the "joecawks" type, but for diehard fans they shoul know better.

The negotiations dont bother me, like I have said if he's asking for money that should go to Sharp then let him walk. Can't really blame him for trying to get the most money he can to make a living. We all would do the same thing.

They might not be the favorite but they're in the conversation.

Outside Montador coming here & Crapoli leaving, not been a fan of this off-season.

People drooling over signing Carcillo plus fossils in Mayers & Brunette.

Once again not addressing a real #2 center let alone depth there.

Sorry, the Canucks are still better than this team.

A dead from the neck up coach, depleted defense corp, two over paid brothers that disappear when its on the line, a goalie thats a headcase on a team thats about as gutless as Ive seen in awhile. This team had their window and it closed on them....right now, the Canucks are not much of a threat to anyone but themselves.

What - no bad pun name for the GM? :turrible:

___

Well I could care less if Campoli is on the team -as he is your run of the mill, generic defenseman that claims to be a puck moving defenseman, but still has yet to put up the points that actual puck moving defensemen do. With that being said -it doesn't appear that the replacement they signed is remarkably different -so that seems like a push. Fair enough... I read it was a single year contract at $775,00.

Stalberg... been there, done that... who cares -he's just there -it's Wirtz's money being spent...

___

Which brings me to:

Random sphincter-valve rumour time...

Wirtz has regressed into being his father, decided that he is NOT going to spend $5 mil or so for Huet to play in Europe ... and wants value for money.

They now have enough room in the cap left to bring back Huet for the backup :troll:

Well actually I don't know if they do or not... but it has to be pretty close...

-Jeez, I feel like Eklund .... I guess anyone can do that BS rumour stuff.... lol

I rate that as oh what??? SC5 on the scale of "reliability"

Now that's some proper analysis...

add in a history of choking, that rivals the Cubs... -they aren't coming back to the Finals until they make another uniform design change.

:obama:

This team was built to beat the Canucks. The Canucks walked all over everybody until they got Boston. Boston threw that physical play right back at them and showed them they are not a tough team, but guys who run other teams players. You throw that grit that we signed against Vancouver, and the cant pull the crap they did last year. Brunette is here to be a playmaker and create havocin th crease on powerlays.

Now lets hear some stupid BS comment from you that makes no sense... or just avoid another post :flipa:

You're the guy that said Crapoli was a big reason we got in.

How about you thank the fucking Minnesota Wild brah.

LOL, I guess i'll have to re-post what I said. This team was going down hill because of our lack of D, and Keith playing like shit.
-Campoli comes in becomes top pair guy with Seabrook.
-Campoli plays very well for Hawks playing in every situation and helping the PK get better.
-Defense gets deeper Hawks start winning.

Yeah Minnesota won a game, but without that Defense not tightning up the Hawks dont get the point to get back into contention.

Now lets here a counter argument from you... at least tellmehow Campoli wasn't a big part of this team...
