A coordinator is in place. Matt Nagy has tabbed former #Bears assistant Chris Tabor to run the special teams unit. Tabor comes from the #Browns.

This is a sad joke of a hire, so much for an improved st.

Browns coach Hue Jackson agreed to let Tabor out of his contract to return to Chicago and bring the system that Toub used with so much success under former coach Lovie Smith.

Nagy’s relationship with Toub in Kansas City likely led to him identifying Tabor is someone he wanted to pursue to join his coaching staff. While the Browns have had a poor roster for much of Tabor’s tenure, the team has excelled at various points on special teams with a strong return game and excellent punting and punt coverage.

This is a disappointment of a hire. Creating a winning antmosphere by bringing in a coach from the laughingstock franchise of the NFL? . . . .

We'll know by mid-season probably. Then you can decide whether he was "Pace's special teams coach" (i.e. he's good) or somebody else's forced on Pace (he sucks) . . .

7 years of experience is surprising he must have penalty of connections with former Browns coaches.
