I've been meaning to post in this thread for a while now, this is a really cool hobby...and one I am familiar with. Unfortunately, all of my American Flyers from the 1940's were stolen by a moving company a few years back. I even had those pellets you dropped in the stack 4/smoke.

Nice work on your layout.

Oh shit.. that stuff was always really nice. Unfortunately S Gauge isn't as big now compared to back in the day.

Thank you very much..

I'm hoping to run up to the Elmhurst Model Railroad Club later this week.. pictures will follow.

Small world, I used to live in Elmhurst on Maple Ave not too far from Hamburger Heaven/the college. Jeremy Roenick and his very nice looking wife used to workout at the Courts there on West Ave near St.Charles. 20 years ago there was a really nice hobby shop downtown that specialized in trains, that has long since closed...and I never knew there was even a club there dedicated to the hobby. If I had the extra $$, I'd get back into it b/c I have the room...an entire basement actually.

There's a few really good shops around.. Lombard Hobby is all trains.. As good of prices as online retailers. Americas Best Train in Itasca has a massive selection.. Grayland Hobby is good.

Check this shit out for the Elmhurst Club
