Wow Ian Rappaport can F off. He is so obviously pushing Brady’s agenda and then making fun of the Bears in the same 2 minute segment. So tired of this narrative, to bad George doesn’t have a TV.

If Ben Johnson decided he would rather go to Pittsburgh why would you say the Bears had passed on him?

I can’t imagine why an offensive coach would choose to go to a place without a quarterback

Becuase the Bear's decided to play games in the interview process and interview everyone and their mom. Ben could have taken it as they don't value him as a candidate and appreciate what he brings to the table as an offensive playcaller.

This goes in line with organizational alignment. You want everyone bought into your vision. If not, you may have to fight to get that high cost free agent, or draft prospect, or to receive the support you need to carry out that vision.

Meanwhile, a job like Steelers open up while you are being indecisive and the Bears franchise no longer has leverage. It lost its advantageous position. The Steelers can offer long term stability. Their fannase is more content than ours. Its a better environmebt, etc. There could be multiple reasons.

WTF?

And what happens when ben johnson doesnt choose the bears? We scramble to hire a fucking DC from the colts, thats what, because bears fans wanted poles to only interview 3 guys

Same cucks bitched about us not even interviewing Kevin O'Connell in 2022, but now are bitching we're interviewing too many names.

They just wanted to know if it would be better to give Eberflus a Stone Cold Stunner or the Tombstone Piledriver. Freeman said to give him the Figure Four Leglock.

Can we make poles the OL coach and GM that would be a very bears thing to do
The positional coaches are sometimes held onto until the new head coach makes a decision. He’s likely gone after that coach makes that determination

Are you suggesting they put all their eggs n one basket? Interview one guy, who may or may not trip on his dick in the interview, all because fans suddenly are aware of him?

The one guy most likely to be employed and unavailable for an in-person interview until after Super Bowl Sunday?

And then what if he doesn't interview well or chooses somewhere else?

There is zero chance Ben Johnson is accepting a job at this point.

You can’t even interview currently employed coaches in person until the 20th. You can’t interview divisional winning coaches until after the conference championship games. Nothing wrong with doing these zoom meetings and gathering information. I hope the whole room learns something. its 2025 these are virtual zoom meetings, its easy and quick to do.

Ben Johnson is probably their top choice. I mean they spent all day Friday preparing for that meeting for a reason. That said let’s not forget what Johnson did last year, he completed flaked on the Commanders who had a really good setup for him. You have to prepare in case he flakes again.
