No one had Harbaugh as a landing spot for the bears except the fans.

Not the same.

And we know that how?

They never even called him because our president is a hot turd. There could have been very real interest on his end if they had made an attempt.

You can’t even interview currently employed coaches in person until the 20th. You can’t interview divisional winning coaches until after the conference championship games. Nothing wrong with doing these zoom meetings and gathering information. I hope the whole room learns something. its 2025 these are virtual zoom meetings, its easy and quick to do.

Ben Johnson is probably their top choice. I mean they spent all day Friday preparing for that meeting for a reason. That said let’s not forget what Johnson did last year, he completed flaked on the Commanders who had a really good setup for him. You have to prepare in case he flakes again.

Exactly this.

Also, its not like other teams arent interviewing a ton of candidates, the jaguars are up to 10. Jets up to 16.

Detroit beat reporters are saying Glenn is well thought of, but his defense doesn’t do anything well & can’t stop anyone. Seems like the perfect Bears hire. Fucckkkk

This guys getting a lot of hype for running a shit ass defense the last 3 years(prior to this one). It's impressive how hard the lions play on defense this past year but a lot of that can be accounted to Dan Campbell being a great motivator.

Generally speaking, there’s nothing wrong with interviewing a lot of guys. But you need to have a direction for the franchise and the team’s identity.

Interviewing so many different types of coaches and so many different types of personalities from so many different cultural backgrounds (with so many people on each Zoom call) gives the perception of a franchise without direction who’s just throwing a bunch of shit at the wall.

Yup the Bears and Jets taking the exact same strategy. Checks out fully. Really they should merge the two franchises at this point.

Tom Pelissero just said the Bears looking to interview Freeman on NFLGameday

@PrideisBears @bamainatlanta tell me again how he just got extended

As close as Notre Dame is in proximity to Chicago, couldn't they have done this ages ago?

Why would freeman want to meet for an NFL coaching gig when he just re-upped and is in the middle of a national championship run?

Thats something he'd be interested(if at all) in doing after the playoffs.

Being a highly paid CFB coach at a top program is probably the cushiest gig in sports. I see no reason why he would desire to go to the NFL right now, it isnt going anywhere.

Freeman has been a little busy with his own playoffs. Did you expect him to leave practice to go interview with the Bears before a semifinals game?

Vrabel already bringing in weird people with him. Some Giants front office guy who is supposed to work along with the current gm? Sounds like a mess.

It doesn’t make sense financially for Freeman.

The chances of ND nosediving and him losing his job is miniscule. That’s job security making a shit ton of money for a long time.

He could lose his job 2 years if he were to leave and it not work out. Sure, offers for other gigs would probably be there. His stock will have taken a hit though which will play into what his options are.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears

Oh I don't know.

Maybe if you actually gave some credence to all those people who are in the rumor business that you continually shit on and say they have no sources, You would have realized he was never coming here, because many of them were all over that from jump.

Yet another thing idiots like you won't give them credit for...

Kind of easy to say they have no sources when you don't give them credit for the things they get right and were ahead of the mainstream media and beat reporters on.....

But whatever. I realize you're too stupid to catch on and it's basically like talking to a wall at this point...

🤣👌

Exactly who I would have wanted here in Chicago, a front office guy from the Giants.
