I think Ben gets a lot more hype than he maybe Should.

I mean that's the big concern isn't it?

It is good that his offense has been consistent for more than one season but that doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be a great head coach.

I guess nothing is 100% guaranteed but at least this would be one where the Bears actually took home the prize and no one (outside of meatball Bears fans) would argue that the Bears didn't actually get the no-brainer number one choice in the hiring cycle and it just didn't work out.

Again, if it's anyone other than Weaver, I'm going to be shocked. So much so, that I'll leave CCS forever if it's anyone but him.

Talking about you defending a Twitter account like MJY does. Didn't seem hard to follow..... you're a little fiery today.
There were a lot of people who were getting Chris Ballard's office ready. Lemming said it was Pace. That's not defending anyone. That's literally telling you what happened.

You know should I do a little bit of exposure? It might be time to expose a few things and no you sickos I'm not talking about me.

I'm not going to name names. But there are some posters here who know personally some of the people who work the Bears beat.

In particular there's one or two who happen to know Dan Weiderer.

Dan famously got into a fight with a blogger who ended up having some sources and frankly showed him up several times.

The blogger did have sources and didn get his stuff about 80 to 90% correct although he had a major whiff on the Allen Robinson contract, but that was because even though the contract was in place from one angle he did not have sources in Allen Robinson's camp which is why ultimately that rumor fell through and he wasn't a clued in on the response from Robinson's agent.

Anyway, a lot of the angst against rumors isn't really their own. In their own mind, knowing a beat reporter makes them feel special, and therefore they are simply projecting the ego of the beat reporter because to them it makes them feel like they are included.

It's actually kind of hilariously sad. Like the Chicago Bears meatball version of "Pick me" girls.

Most sane human beings would simply ignore rumors if they didn't care for them but they wouldn't be offended by them to the point of attacking anyone other than "established reporters".

That's a little weird don't you think? I mean when you go into the world of sports rumors, everyone sometimes has a connection somewhere and it's not always the major establishments that break news. Sometimes it's coincidental and lucky that someone just happens to know someone who happens to be in a certain situation and news breaks.

That doesn't negatively affect fans. That doesn't negatively affect really anyone so there's no reason for anyone to be upset...

Except....

.. The mainstream beat reporters and newsbreakers who basically got out hustled for information because they like lazy stories and don't like anyone out doing them and making them look bad.

So when I see the usual crew with their usual crap about this rumor stuff, It's obvious where it's really coming from and sorry guys, You may have a casual friendship with some of these beat people but they're never going to "pick you."

I remember, and didn't say otherwise. Was just joking around as MJY is admonishing people for questioning Twitter accounts again.

WTF?

And what happens when ben johnson doesnt choose the bears? We scramble to hire a fucking DC from the colts, thats what, because bears fans wanted poles to only interview 3 guys

Same cucks bitched about us not even interviewing Kevin O'Connell in 2022, but now are bitching we're interviewing too many names.

Poles only interviewed 3 guys last time, but only after upper management did the 1st round of interviews before he was hired. In round 1 with their search committee, they interviewed everyone possible for both their GM and coaching positions at the same time. We defintley interviewed too many guys last go around. Thats my fear this time as well.

They didn't know what they were looking for back then and still do not today. We should have had the approach to look for an offensive mind to help build around Fields. But we did not. We hired a 50+ yr old forst time DC as head coach when that same year every coach in the playoffs outside of Andy Reid was under 50.

Nobody reading your fan fiction here but fyi I personally know Harold Winman and he breaks a lot of stories even outside of bears stuff because of his sources. And he would literally beat the snot out of Weirderer, Jacob Infante, You, etc.

**** your dum rumors 😆

The problem with that entire argument is it's moving the goal posts, which is what the bitches who whine that no one has any sources always say.

I'll be the first to say Leming's football understanding is hot garbage. But he actually did have a friend in the Ryan Pace regime and had a source.

And assholes like you kept saying he didn't have sources when he did.

Now that it's been undisputably proven that he did have sources at the time, jackasses like you who can't admit they were wrong move the goal posts to his football thoughts, when the argument has been about sources all along.

This is why those of us who enjoy looking at the rumors can't take any of you dickheads seriously - Even when you're blatantly proven wrong, you move the goal posts and spew a bunch of shit and then claim victory, when all you're doing is being insufferable and intentionally obtuse when it suits your purposes.
Are you Aaron Leming? Sounds like your vagina got hurt there a bit?

PS: It wasn't an argument. Leming had a dude on the inside during Emery's tenure. Leming was a nobody until his person on the inside gave him the Lamarr Houston signing and followed that up with the Ryan Mundy signing as well. That is a fact.

This bickering about all these 1 hour zoom interviews seems dumb to me. It's the "real" in person interviews that may be telling in one way or another.
