My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
He’s not going to be coach of the Bears unless the Raiders decide they don’t want him.

Already left yourself an out. Would be a shame if they hired that former Lions exec to be their GM. Would make you trying to make that argument awfully difficult. 🤣🤣🤣

At this point, does anyone support the Rooney rule? I think it’s a complete disgrace. I mean, I get it Mike Tomlin was a RR hire, but he was a NFL DC on the rise and already had a SB ring as a DB coach. That is outlier interview the rest of the interviews are completely failing to meet the purpose.
I think they should just take it away and never should have made that rule anyway. These teams are going to hire who they want no matter the race of the candidates, but now because of this rule we have teams bringing in minorities with no intention of hiring them to be their HC. This is the fault of the NFL for making this rule, not the fault of the owners and front office for following the rules and bringing them in to interview them with no intention of hiring them.

Break down the other openings and specify exactly why they’re better. If you mention DEI even one time in regard to Bears’ management, I hope the mods ban your ass as they should have long ago.
Here’s your breakdown:
Ownership sucks
The GM is a lame duck who also sucks
The team president sucks
The HR department who will harass you the entire time sucks
The quarterback is a diva, attention whore, a complainer, a locker room cancer and also sucks

They clearly wanted him last week. Did they change their minds and pivot to Kingsbury after what transpired yesterday? Idk, I’d certainly think Tom Brady is thorough enough to at least let it cross his mind.

And even then the Bears would really struggle to be more attractive than Jacksonville.

Maybe they don’t wanna bring in token candidates. Maybe they honest to Christ are considering minority candidates. Have you considered that?

Guess you missed this post I made because, yes, I did consider it.
Really making a mockery of the rule. He's 24-22 coaching at Tennessee State. There's really not a minority coach currently working in the NFL that might be a more qualified candidate to interview?

Bears just wasting people's time at this point.
Think it is more likely that some of these guys end interviewing for staff jobs. For example, Johnson doesnt have a lot of people he has worked with so if George wants in on the NFL being the RBs coach for Johnson may make sens.

Johnson will only be allowed to poach an OC and DC without persmission. Campbell can deny him any other requests. Same goes for Flores.

Honestly there's a small part of me that is laughing that between the Bears and the Raiders it seems like one of them will get Ben Johnson and the other one will be completely embarrassed, unless something wild happens and he either goes back to Detroit or lands with the jags and then both the Raiders and the Bears look absolutely silly, especially if the Raiders higher that GM hoping it'll land them Ben Johnson.
Or they'll hire the guy for the job. :):smug2:

Is there any real evidence that Johnson is the first choice of the Bears or Raiders or both?

I think the Raiders are the ones that would look bad if they don't land Ben Johnson for whatever reason. They have pushed the media hard, the Tom Brady angle hard, and now the GM interview. They have clearly put all their eggs in the Ben Johnson basket.

The Bears will probably still be interviewing new candidates up to the draft to make sure they cast a wide enough net.
The Bears way is to wait until the Raiders hire Ben Johnson and then fire R.Poles to look for a new GM.........and then hire Eddie George as their new GM.

Laughing at Tom Brady
I didn’t want to coach Jayden Daniels, he beat my teams ass in the playoffs. I’m gunna go to the Raiders! What an idiot. One of the dumbest decisions of all time if true.

Everything was correct until the last line— even though he’s definitely not JD, there is nothing to suggest the first 4 descriptions of him are remotely true.

It’s being reported he didn’t want to go to Washington because he thought their management structure was a bunch of basketball guys(not far off).

Well, there's also the fact that if he wanted Drake Maye instead, they could have drafted him over Daniels if he took the Washington job last year.
