Marshall getting older and has too many side issues. Bears need to be taking a long-term approach to every transaction. The Colts will be picking at the end of each round. Good trade for Marshall, that is realistic, would be the Colts 2015 5th rd pick (to get the Bears a 5th rd pick this year) and a 2016 2nd rd pick. Would be ok with Bears then drafting Cooper or White at #7 this year. Would have an additional pick in 2016 to add to Defense.

Cooper, a 5th round pick, and next years second...I would be down for that, but I am not too sure if many fans will be. It would suck this year, because we wouldn't have a 1st round defensive talent on the roster. We could still pick up a solid ILB/CB in the 2nd and 3rd, but all the OLB talent will be gone by then. In the end, at least the 2016 draft will be very exciting, since the Bears never have multiple 1st or 2nd round picks.

Alshon Jeffery has had one good season during his three year NFL career, so lets get rid of Brandon Marshall and just pair Jeffery up with an inexperienced rookie!

All these holes the Bears have are not enough! Also, Alshon Jeffery has one year left on his contract, yay!

After this season, the Bears might be in desperate need of TWO wide outs if they get rid of Marshall and Jeffery doesn't come back.

I do think Jeffery is going to be great but he needs to show he can consistently put up good numbers first.

He has 1,133 yards this season and 10 TDs. He's had 2 good years out of 3. Which is great considering the only bad year he had was in his rookie season coupled with a broken hand.

Sorry I didn't even realize he had those numbers.

its all good. he dropped a lot of balls this year so I think that makes people think he had a bad year.

He also led the league with a ridiculous amount of false starts for a WR. He had 5 of them & the Bears WR had a total of 7 in 2014. It was a large reason the Bears had the 2nd most false starts in the NFL last year. For comparison sake, Green Bay had 1 WR false start the entire 2014 season.

Jeffery failed to make incredible catch after incredible catch in 2014 as well.

He was not a failure by any stretch of the imagination but clearly regressed. I have no desire to see him be the #1 WR at this time. Watching him try to beat the opposing teams #1 cover man might not go too well. Hopefully he gets at least one more year of being the #2 to improve his game at the NFL level.

He went from being the 6th highest in yardage in 2013 with 1,421 and 7 TD to 14th highest in yardage with 1,133 and 10 TD. So the TD went slightly up but the yardage went down considerably. The TD total is something that is much harder to predict. Where as the yardage is the key stat for all WR.

Alshon did much better in the fumble department and also saw his YAC go up slightly in 2014 to 473 from the 432 in 2013. So I have hope for the kid but I really want him to work hard at improving his game. He needs to stop dropping the ball and committing penalties. If he does those 2 things he will have a great chance at nearing elite WR level production on a consistent basis.

I'd ride Marshall and Forte into the ground. We're not going to get much in return. Both are still playing at pretty elite levels. Now, if Indy wants to make a good offer, 2nd and 5th or a young WR and a pick, maybe...but I don't see them overpaying. I like Moncrief a lot. They won't trade us Hilton. Moncrief + 2nd I'd do. (Overpaying) That's essentially a 3rd and a 2nd. We'd have to seriously consider a WR in the early rounds if White/Cooper fell to #7. If they feel like BM could be the piece to put them over the top, maybe they make that offer. I think BM and Forte have more value playing for us.

Yeah, but I really think he'd be okay as the #1 WR if it came down to it

I would probably sit down with both Forte and Marshall and ask them to restructure their deals. I'd suggest signing them to three year contracts at a reasonable price.

There is some serious dillusional thoughts regarding the return we'd get for Marshall. If we get a 3, that would be a great return. He's on the wrong side of 30, with a big cap figure, and off the field problems.

Adrian Peterson and BMarsh to the colts = unstoppable offense (coupled with Dwayned Allen, Fleener and TY)

But he's like the best WR in the NFL, haven't you been reading?

Who said he was the best WR in the NFL? Half think he's just good not great and half think he should be off the roster.

Your type of exaggerated response usually comes from someone that doesn't like that player. "He's the best lolz" GTFO.

He's still a very good player who would be great for Luck. He will be 31 in three weeks and has a history of mental issues. The return for that type of player is never very high. I don't want to get rid of him, but if a team offered above market value and we didn't have to eat any salary, I would pull the trigger quickly. Then again I'd trade any player for an above market value return.

IT'd be hard to prove that he isn't one of the top five receivers in the NFL in the last 3-4 years. Especially when you consider his blocking ability.

Unless you actually watched last season where he looked slow, lethargic and beat up and could get open down the field about never.....

You smap get rid of him for a first obv.
