Caleb Williams, who we’ve acknowledged is having an underwhelming, extremely disappointing rookie campaign:

3,271 yards
19 TDs
5 INTs
4 300 yard games

Jayden Daniels, who we’ve established has without-a-doubt cemented himself as the future of the NFL and easy Rookie of the Year:

3,303 yards
22 TDs
8 INTs
1 300 yard game

This is, of course, all very niche and misleading. Clearly digging deep into the crosstabs of the data to make the numbers look similar.

Someone please jump in here and set us straight with the more mainstream, less niche EPA numbers, like Extrapolated Yards Per Moonpie and shit.

I always thought the CJ Stroud hype in 2023 was overrated, and that for all the people saying the bears should have gotten CJ Stroud and that the Bears screwed up, that CJ would eventually come back to Earth, which he has this season.

The reason I bring it up is because I see Jayden Daniels following a similar trajectory.

And if the Bears get the coaching right and fix the offensive line, I do NOT see a regression coming for Caleb Williams.

A winning team vs a losing team. Swap their records and Caleb is rookie of the year. Although Daniels has been better when you dig a little deeper into the stats.

CJ was the perfect storm of a solid coach and his own talent. With a year of tape, he’s returning to the mean. The encouraging thing is Caleb has horrendous coaching and you can at least hope for what we’re watching to be a lower end production that can improve with more competent coaching.

Caleb isn’t as bad as his record indicates. JD however is a huge reason their team is in the playoffs.
Commanders having the 2nd easiest SOS this year compared to the Bears having the 2nd most difficult SOS has to have something to do with it. Daniels has obviously played well, but he's beaten up on a lot of terrible teams and just won a game against PHI with their backup.

Jayden is much more efficient. For Caleb to get close to Jayden's counting stats, he needs 100 more pass plays. Caleb is also terrible at converting third downs, which kills drives and doesn't lead to points.

The Bears lose to everyone though. Patriots, Niners, Cards....these aren't teams that are setting the world on fire.

Do you think Caleb Williams has ever won a game in his football career where his team was less talented than his opponent's team?

Philly put up 33 points though, and it's not like Pickett was playing defense. Daniels put up 22 points in the 4th quarter against a really good defense

Yeah, let me know when Caleb throws 5 TDs and puts up 36 against the Eagles. This board is incredible in its bashing of everyone "not Caleb".

Jayden had more TDs against the Eagles than Caleb and the Bears had 1st half yards against SF....who just got walloped by Miami.
