Jayden is having a great year, actually all the QBs drafted are. Let’s wait for year 3 - this could be a Phillip Rivers vs Big Ben scenario.
No!! There can only be one good quarterback per draft class!

I did watch this game. I agree, Jayden isn't 'robot like' in his throws like a prime Aaron Rodgers....that said, he almost always puts points on the board. I think he might improve as the team improves the talent around him. He's really accomplishing a lot with a little, IMO.

I don’t agree with this a lot with a little mentality. Their system gets people wide open so that is better than even having the best WR. They have an amazing oline, good running game, and are playing the easiest schedule. Now you get Daniels a deep ball threat like Tyreek Hill and yeah I could see better stats. Will be interesting to see what happens when Kingsbury leaves or gets exposed.

Yes the Bears on paper had all these weapons but it’s not reality. DJ Moore quits on half his routes, Allen is trying but is old and slow, Rome is a rookie and still learning. No route concepts on display to take advantage of these guys either (coaching). Can’t pass or run block, penalties constantly. Horrible RBs, over rated Kmet.

Typically, the elite QB’s are at the top in EPA. Those that aren’t elite are not at the top in EPA. Not a difficult correlation to make here.

Wasn’t EPA the stat people were using to praise the Waldron hiring? Honest question. It’s a stat I’m not real familiar with.

Not to single you out, but the timing of the posting about Daniels is absurd. He just beat the Eagles with 5 TD passes. What is wrong with people?
You are right, he did. My comment was that JD isn’t the only reason the Commanders are in the playoffs. Oh boy………

But....I've seen plays where the Bears have guys open downfield and Williams is not seeing them or spinning around in circles from (at times) imagined pressure. I do think the biggest subjective difference is that Daniels has poise...he will stand in the pocket and take the big hit. Williams is more frenetic. JMO. Not really disagreeing with you.

Wins start and end with the QB, that's why the team moved on from Fields.

It is great for the sport as a whole when someone like Daniels takes the league by storm. I cannot expect that he'd be leading this team to the playoffs - but he is leading a good team to great results!

I think Caleb is super tough, but IMO a big difference between Jayden and Caleb is that Jayden is willing to stand in the pocket and take a hit right when he's throwing. A lot of his big plays come from him holding the ball until the last second, taking a hit, and completing a downfield throw. When Caleb sees pressure, his first instinct is to run away.
Yes, he has a scared tendency to bail on the pocket. He’s not standing tall in there. Agree.

Williams gets hit on almost every pass, still putting up some good numbers so I think he does have poise. Our oline is incredibly bad, so is our scheme. Daniels shows more poise because he knows where he is going pre snap and his oline is consistent. Caleb is basically winging it every game right now.

It's honestly ridiculous the pearl clutching on both sides. Daniels is clearly having the best rookie season and had a statement game today against a great defense.

Nix is also performing better than most expected and I think you can attribute a lot of that to Payton adjusting his system to help nix out after the first couple weeks.

Caleb is having a pretty good season as well. He has things to clean up most certainly. He's erratic with his accuracy and his deep ball has been basically nonexistent but the deep ball did exist in college, so hopefully with a few tweaks we can see some success there as well.

Maye has also been good for a qb playing on a team deprived of any talent.

I'm not sure why everyone needs to declare busts/bests before the rookie seasons are even over. All these guys careers will take different trajectories, but it appears to be a really good qb class despite everyone being so insistent on finding a bust.
