I served with a few Jesus' that claimed to be able to unlock a car door in less that 3 seconds and steal hub caps off of moving cars. So they might be able to save you.

**** religion! It gets more people killed than drugs!!!!

BACK TO THE TOPIC OF LEARNING:

Tim, go check out the UIS link I sent you. It is very easy to get in to U of I schools and the online program is exploding right now. They would love to have you.

I have heard that a second bachelor's is a giant waste of time and money. An MBA is too these days unless you have a company paying for it and they are 'forcing' you to take it for a promised promotion.

Check out the grad cert programs.

Yea, I concur about the 2nd bachelor's being a bit of a waste at this time. Once you have one, others are more for pride (personal experience), which is why I mentioned the certs as an alternative and they tend to show enough to HR and hiring managers (who are really like looking at personality during the interviews anyway).

So, when it is all said and done, for the "bashing" that goes on in IHN about organized religion, I guess I my point is this....

Not everything about organized religion is horrible, is it? Of course, I do not believe that myself because I see the greater good while some prefer to only see damnation.

Thanks for listening peeps.

Edited; by the way TCD I just recently attended Lewis for a good part of the day for my daughter's college education and quite frankly, it is one of the top contenders. Being a Catholic university is not a criteria for us but we see it as a positive plus the curriculum for the field she is looking into is very limited within Illinois.

I grew up in Lemont and Lockport and never knew anything about Lewis until our visit. I was quite impressed for a smaller bodied school.

Exactly. It's all, about perspective. Very few things in this world are universally evil or universally good; everything has good and bad. How much of which is all personal perspective.

My master's was a "mail order" (distance learning option), but it had a lot to do with the Air Force training program I was in, the University it was accredited through, and what the AF was willing to pay the University for during that training program. Very atypical, profession specific and probably does not apply to other fields so I'll spare the details.

A more important question would be "How many business courses do you have that would easily transfer over to make your path to a second bachelor's or a masters easier?"

You say you have 130 hours or more, Tim. But what are those courses? This is obviously info that an admissions officer/counselor would need but I'm just curious to know how close you would be to getting a Business degree. (considering I just earned mine at UIS I am very familiar with degree program requirements in U of I schools - email or me if you want, I'll be happy to review your transcripts to see what MIGHT roll over easily)

I consider myself a Christian, but by no means am I very religious. I was just commenting on posts I've seen that bash, not pointing fingers at you or anyone in particular.

I was usually avoid reading the religion threads because they always seemed to turn ugly. But the topic pops up in a lot of threads so it's hard to avoid them completely.

I will freely admit I openly bash religion and would love nothing more than if it ceased to exist, more death and slaughter has been done for religious reasons throughout history than any other (regardless of "what" religion). But I also live in reality, and have one life to live, I am not going to make life difficult for myself, by avoiding a catholic school that doesn't force me to do anything religious, if it is more convenient for me.

There is a huge difference between a catholic college and what I was forced to endure in a catholic grade school.

and just an FYI to christians on this board, I know it would appear, atheists, predominantly tear down the christian faith the reason for that is that is the majority of what we are exposed to and who we have to debate with. It would be a pretty boring thread with all of us railing against islam. and in fact alot of predominant atheists get in trouble from the liberal elite being called islamophobes the moment they speak out against islam. Christopher Hitchens was one of the most outspoken as such, as he supported the Iraq and Afghanistan invasions.

Here is an open debate between him and a muslim.

Go for the MBA then. Will give you more consideration if you ever move on somewhere else for a management job.

Then it should help you. How many school of business courses do you already have? Some schools will drastically cut your minimum required amount down if you have all the prereqs and not force you to take all 60 hours (or whatever they say it takes to earn the Masters).

I think I only need about 36 hours if I do my MBA through a U of IL school since I already have a BBA through them.

Also depends on the transferring school as well. Also different degrees and colleges, accept different transfer classes.

Although I went to a shitty SIU school, most of my Juco classes, if not ALL of them.

For U ofI almost anything from Parkland would transfer as that's the Juco set up for U of the I....

90% of my credits would come from Illinois State, I imagine U of I would honor those.
