I like lagunitas ipa but little sumpin sumpin and anti-hero, no thanks. Anti-hero tastes like syrup to me

AH has a unique flavor profile. It's not for everyone. But I'm surprised you don't like lil sumpin? I've introduced that beer to several folks and they immediately said it was their favorite beer.

So I'm trying guys. Just cracked a modus hoperandi from ska brewing. Smooth forward, but tasted pine on the back end.. Pretty good though. But this is hilarious: around the rim of the can it says "walk, kite, recycle, hide, seek, plant, recycle, grow, shower, hhh, TUBE, recycle"

:lmao:
We get it.

Have you tried boulevard 80 acre yet?

I'm addicted to Anti-Hero

Also a big fan of Laguinitas Lil Sumpin Sumpin and Small Town Brewery Not Your Father's Root Beer
lNo no. You'll grow out of many Lagunitas beer and will think Anti-Hero sucks in time, believe me. It's horrible.

Lil Sumpin littlerally smells like weed.

Anti Hero has the most awkward, nasty aftertaste....Ever.

You'll palates will mature and you'll want to venture away from that garbage.

Try:

Three Floyds Alpha King

Boulevard 80 acre

Boulevard Single Wide IPA

Surly: Furious.

100000000000x better than AH or Lil Sumpin. Ugh. I used to like their stuff, then I tried more beers and honestly I gagged last time I had Anti Hero. It's bad.

The last IPA I really liked because it DIDN'T taste like perfume with weed in it:

Revolution's Anti Hero. It was a little bitter, a little floral, but totally smooth.

It wasn't too expensive either.

Try Ballast Point's Sculpin, I think that would be up your alley. It's the type of IPA I really enjoy, more on the citrus/fruit side than the piney/prickly/bitter type. The only problem with it is it's a bit expensive. I bought a six pack for Thanksgiving and after tax it was about 16 bucks (though if you want to try it you might just want to grab a bomber of it). I think what I'll do if I want it again is brew a clone of it myself. It could stand to be a touch bolder or more aggressive, but I hear it's a beer that drops off fast so the travel from California here might have something to do with it, plus at the price it probably sits on the shelves for a bit. It's extraordinarily easy to drink too - lots of orange and grapefruit notes to it.

Anti-hero is a decent beer. Easy to find, not too expensive, easy to drink.

Well if that's how you want to look at it ok, but you're missing out on a lot of great beer and it's not all simply some fruit chucked in.

Sculpin is excellent. Available in cans now, too.

Currently drinking this. Pretty good seasonal IPA. Citrusy ipa with very light body considering the ABV.

I'm a big fan of Aventinus and Celebrator is supposed to be up there if not better, so I've been wanting to try it for years. I think its time is due.

Bought a bomber of FFF Alpha Claus over the weekend. Will be imbibing soon.
I also have my New Glarus tour scheduled for June. We had to book nearly 1 year in advance.
Drank a Raspberry Tart this weekend along with Destihl Wild Sour. The Raspberry Tart is one of the best fruit beers I've ever had, while a decent effort from the crew in Bloomington, IL. 1809 is probably one of the kings of sour Berliners, but it's nice to see more being brewed. I did like the Pipeworks series from 2012.

I live in Denver but I go to New Glarus every time I come back to IL. I have never needed a reservation for the tour.

Sours are the new IPA. There will be many, many great and many, many terrible ones coming out in the next few years. But rest assured every brewery will have one.

My favorite beer right now, unfortunately the chances of one of you seeing this outside of VA is a little low right now. But if you are in VA or somewhere that has this on tap, definitely give it a try. One of the best beers I have had.
