Sours are the new IPA. There will be many, many great and many, many terrible ones coming out in the next few years. But rest assured every brewery will have one.

Way ahead of you there in regards to the sours.
There are two kinds of tours at New Glarus, and one is a personal tour that you can sign up for. Those go in a hurry.

Ah gotcha. Mine were self guided but there tended to be employees wandering around answering questions and what not. Have fun. Its a great brewery with great beer. And oh so close to my hometown!

Need help...

Getting rid of Firestone Ipa and left hand nitro milk stout. Thinking about replacing one of the taps with a cider beer. It's trendy, seasonal and gluten free. Any good reccomendations?

I've had Original Sin on tap at Kumas, and it was tasty. Not sure if Scrumpy's (sp) has their line available in barrels.

I jumped on the sour bandwagon (because there are a lot of bad ones out there). I made it about a year ago and it sat in the secondary for 9 months. Kegged it about 3 months ago. Relatively light on the sour but very drinkable. Still have about half a keg left though because I need to be in the mood for a sour.

Left hand is good for sure, but C.R. Goodman is a bad company and cannot remember to pick up our empty kegs and give us the credit for it on the invoice. I gave them once chance when I took over for my bar manager and they blew it. Just finishing off our last kegs with them. I have no time for dumbshits.

Depending if your distributor could get it. Please for the love of god don't get angry orchard.

Right on with that. It's trendy and easy to drink, but my staff would kill me. Need something coming up, not established. I want local Colorado cider but it's all roughly $200/Keg so far. Killing cost unless I buy some 10 OZ glasses. Have to keep searching.

Vander mill nunica pine dry hopped cider :)

Will check it out, thanks Ole.

Is C.R. Goodman their distributor? It is unfortunate to hear that. I really like Left Hand for their beer and stuff they do around the community. But I hear ya, if you are having issues with them, thats not cool.

I am not a big beer drinker at all, and BHP can run circles around me when it comes to beer knowledge. And allow me to shill a bit....

I had the SlapShot Stick to the Nuts a few weeks ago, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a beer brewed with peanut butter. It is of course a nut brown. They are local to Chicago and you can find their stuff in most places. Binnys, some grocerey stores in the south burbs, and a good amount of bars. Yes, I am friends with them. They know their booze.

The colorado+ brewery here in Denver has a beer brewed with count chocula. It is actually pretty decent. I went in expecting the worst and I found it surprisingly drinkable.

Kinda makes ya wonder what else they tried before they hit with Count Chocula.
