Pisani gone, not a bad dude, just no skin off my sack to keep him, same with Stalberg, which is a shame because when he first started here I was really excited about him. I bet in the right situation he could still be something. I think Campoli and Frolik are the ones that really showed they earned another shot at a full year here. That brings me to the question, with them both being RFA, do you hard ball them and go low and match anyone else, or do you just get the deal done?
I would not be so quick to dismiss Stalberg. As for Frolik, he does not have arbitration rights. Anything above 1.8 is a gift(See Setoguchi). As for Campoli, a multi year deal takes him into UFA years which ups his cap hit.
Here's the #'s with the Crawford deal. I'm pretty sure that since the current CBA is coming to the last year, bonus money is figured into the cap.
