that's what caused you to be so shit in the dot? Christopher Reeve could have won one faceoff out of eighteen!

Say I was 0-18 at the dot, which I wasn't. What does that say about you that you were still a -8 in the game??

All you guys are doing is making people hungry.

Way to go Grimtard, now I'm going to have to spear a deer to find my hunger pains.

least I could have been was -4 since I had 4 points in an 8-4 loss.

Nice try, math boy.

Giving up 7 goals in two games is bad. Giving up 2 goals in two games is great.

Guy is streaky. He's always been like that. It's why he's not in that top 5ish echelon in the league.

Nothing wrong with that. He still is pretty darn good and can help you win a Stanley Cup obviously. But this series, good and bad, hasn't shown us anything we don't already know.

The Hawks netmenders (mainly Crawford) and the Canadiens netmenders (mainly Price) tied for the best GOA this season. Crawford should have won (I thought he was going too) the Conn Smythe in 2013 (Kane even acknowledged that). He's let in a couple of weak goals this series, but he's stood on his head too, last two minutes last night, for example or stopping the Kucherov breakaway right after Saad's goal. Last night, that was a wicked pass that Filppula made to Killorn between two Hawks (Seabs and Desjardins) one who should have been covering Killorn, with TVR completely MIA on the play, yet people were blaming Crawford for not knowing where the puck should have been. None of the Hawks knew where the puck was, and one of them, Desjardins, perhaps, should have been covering Killorn. Even the TV coverage, and the announcers, CBC at least, were fooled on that goal. And the tip-ins, by Killorn, etc., are NOT Crows fault. The Callahan goal, yes. whether Crow is in the top 5, or not - I think he is - the Hawks system and their D-men add up to a great defensive team, together.

Crawford wins periods of hockey. He is also one of the most technically perfect goalies you can find in the league and thats a fact. Most people want fancy swan diving electric saving goalies instead of the more positionally sound guys like Crawford. Its not that Craw isnt a top 5 goalie in the league its that most of his critics dont understand what a goalie does in the first place during games. Its not just about stopping pucks.

During the 2013 cup run Crawford did something in the Redwings series that actually was the reason they came back and won it. He adjusted his puck handling and began playing pucks out of the zone to thwart a redwings forecheck that was giving the Hawks trouble. Not one fucking guy in the media picked up on that adjustment.

Crawford also is one of the better communicating goalies in the league. When you play a stretch pass blueline system like the Hawks do you need a very aware and communicative goalie. Something a lot of fans forget or for those new to the game dont even know because again its something ignored in hockey media.

Crawford sucks. Nothing else to be said, nothing else to see here. This team would have the same chance if Darling, Niemi or Huet were in net. Game. Set. Match.

If people want Crawford to go... name another available goalie that is a capable top 5 goaltender that fits in with the team perfectly.

Crawford is worth every penny.

I think everyone on here is thinking Darling. I personally would like to see more from him before we peg him as the #1 guy.

Plenty of guys have one good year.

Crow ain't a top 5 goal tender. On a team with a lesser D (team D, including from forwards) his weaknesses would be exposed.

Lol, not even one good year.... a good 15 games.

He could be good, but do we really want to find out in the middle of a dynasty run? Give him opportunities next year, see what happens, but you gotta keep Crawford unless Darling can prove it.

Any goaltender on a team with "lesser" D would be exposed lol. There is no Dominik Hasek in this league.

Some more than others. Corey left the cage wide open a few times the other night and got saved by the quick sticks of his defensemen. He only faced 24 shots despite a 6 on 5 at the end and 4 power plays.

Some of you make it sound like he saved 42 of 42, with several acrobatic saves.

Like Darling did against Nashville.

No matter what poor Corey does, people will always hate him.

Or like Crow did for most of the Anaheim series...or are we going to talk about the two goals he gave up on sixty-two shots being soft?

24 shots is 24 shots. But as a goalie, I know I would rather face 40 easy shots to 24 high quality shots any day.

Good luck throwing in a journeyman minor league goaltender with roughly 15 games of NHL experience on a team that's trying to win a Cup every season.

I'm not saying Darling can't be a good goaltender, he definitely has shown that he has potential, but you're hinging your hopes on a lottery ticket if you want him to start every game and expect it to be a seamless transition. Again, this team is trying to win Cups, not wait on developing a goaltender that hasn't shown anything besides the mop duty he had this year.

Huet had good numbers before becoming a starter too.

On this team, in this situation, Corey Crawford can absolutely be a top 5 performer, most nights he is a top 10 guy for sure -- and not to mention won some hardware this year to back that sentiment up. And why does it matter if he wouldn't be able to do it elsewhere? No one knows the answer to that question anyway, it's just speculation.

You could have said the same thing about Niemi and Crow. Darling has more starts than they had when they took over.

A lottery ticket is a guy off the street. Scott Darling has performed well at the NHL level. And this team trying to win cups is likely going to have to take a step back next year to shed salary.

That's a team award. You don't win that without great team defense. And Crow only played in 57 games. Raanta and Darling brought the GAA average down.

I don't hate him, I just think we could do better things with that money and are loaded at the position. I'm a Hawks fan, not a Crawford fan.

Let's say they trade Crow for picks and Bickell for a warm six pack, and then turn around and trade picks for Milan Lucic, who has the same cap hit. I think it would be pretty easy to argue the team would be better.
