Iam just messin with u bro..
Iam just messin with u bro..
How else is the statement "too much time being spent talking about the Beckham play" supposed to be interpreted?
And you've yet to show how any of us have used this as an excuse for the outcome of the game or suggested that the call being different would have affected the outcome.
I don't care about the "break" thing. I care that it was a bad call. The Rios play was defensive stupidity. I can live with the Cubs being defensively stupid. I can't live with them being penalized by umpire brain farts.
I remember watching Leon Durham let that ball go past him. U know Buckner was wearing a cubs batting glove under his mitt in that Boston world series game. There are actually a bunch of good articles and blog posts out there about why the Cubs have sucked ass for so long, and most of it really is their own fault.
see below again.
If you can "read into my posts" I think I can do the same. above isnt making excuses?
Let’s start this with a little disclaimer where I tell you that the Cubs are not a very good team and would probably have lost anyway. It should also be noted that umpire fails can often affect both teams in such a way
How about you read what Rice wrote which started the conversation. You don't even have to read that far into the article for this since it was the first two lines:
But yeah Rice was clearly saying there that Cubs would have won if only Eric Cooper didn't suck.
jesus christ. your mad tonight asshole. ****.
And dude what do you expect? My team sucks. I don't need the umps helping you guys beating my crappy team
lol. relax. i thought i was mr angry fan.
Wish I could see the game tomm damn MLB.tv blackouts on Saturday.
It isn't going to be broadcast out there on Fox?
No get some crappy west coast garbage..I guess I could wait and watch the delayed one on MLB.tv, but then I could not messin around in here.
Yeah I figured that, but I guess I wasn't sure. Sometimes Fox does weird things with their broadcasts.

I watched the replay a couple more times after reading the HBT article (also linked in the blog) and then screencapped a few shots. Brett had suggested that DeJesus' hands/feet/whatever came off the bag before Beckham barreled into him, but I played it over and over again and I just didn't see it. DeJesus didn't come off the bag completely until Beckham basically teabagged him.
