Technically they could move Jackson to RF but because DeJesus is a more patient leadoff hitter they'd leave him there.

Apparently Jackson would make DeJesus look like he has a strong arm in RF. He certainly would have the range to play there but his weakest tool by far is his arm strength.

Well i think we all figured Cubs lose this game. Volstad did exactly what we all thought. Offense didnt do much. Hopefully Shark hot streak conitues tomorrow

I actually feel bad for the guy. He was basically the trash that the Marlins didn't want in order to acquire Zambrano (who wouldn't have brought back anything else) yet the fans seem to think he would be leaps and bounds better than Z was. He's definitely trying and the results aren't coming...the thing is you never know when that big inning will hit.

I really thought any positives Volstad would bring would be surplus. The move wasn't made to improve the big league club, per se. It was mad to get Z out of town.

You are right though...a lot of people thought he would be an improvement over Z.

I think most everyone realized that Zambrano had more talent than Volstad, but it seems like now people want to get upset over losing the talent in the trade when 6 months ago they wanted to trade Z for a bag of balls.
