Bautista hasnt hit FA since he become a stud. If Baustista hit FA now he sign with a contender. DeJesus had 2 chances now and both times picked a rebuilding team to play everday

Now who is making excuses? :troll:

Stewart may not be hitting much for average, but at least he has 4 HR's compared to the shit bag we have.

yea going to be long years for Chicago 3B. Both teams have to find guys. Hopefully for Cubs it dont take 30+ yrs like it did last time

The Cubs have grounded into a ridiculous amount of double plays this season. I looked it up earlier and they were like 2nd or 3rd in the majors in terms of DPs. I will probably check it out again to see how many they grounded into after tonight's game.

not excuses. just the facts :dealwithit:

DeJesus is a good ball player. He fits the moneyball perfectly. There just a reason why no contending teams have made him there everday OF. For playoff teams he is a 4th OF.

And apparently coming off of injury the first time he hit free agency isn't facts...

Apparently not being the first player to struggle to hit in Oakland isn't facts either?

All I've pointed out is that your definition of team's valuing DeJesus is extremely flawed because it is. Just like Bautista hasn't played for a contender because of factors as much outside of his control as due to it.

I know the hits in this series heavily favor the Phillies, but to me the series comes down to one set of numbers. Cubs pitchers have issued 8 walks to the Phillies 0.

Your points also show why he hasnt played for contenders. Cause he always has issues. So rebuilding teams take shot at him while contenders rather try to find guy they can count on

I know people talk about 3B as being a position that has been hard to fill for the Cubs, but CF is actually worse. Look at how few the top guys at CF have played in Cubs history compared to other franchises that have been around.

Very True. CF is a revolving door for Cubs

Pitchers should probably at least learn to field if they can't hit.
