Your lineups are OK.

Brett Jackson and Chris Archer will be up at some point between May and July. Will be interesting to see which makes it first. Jackson may or may not start in RF or CF. Archer figures to start when he gets the call.

I'd take Byrd in the three...he's sort of taken Lee's place as a leader/old school type of player. Castro definitely needs to be one or two, Rami in the clean up. The rest, I don't care.

What should the 2011 Opening Day lineup be? My 2 cents:

1. Marlon Byrd - CF
2. Starlin Castro - SS
3. Carlos Pena - 1B
4. Aramis Ramirez - 3B
5. Tyler Colvin - RF
6. Geo Soto - C
7. Alfonso Soriano - LF
8. Blake DeWitt - 2B
9. Ryan Dempster - P

No. No. No. No.

Byrd should not be leading off at all and Soto should not be hitting behind Colvin. Soto is a far better hitter than Colvin ever will be.

Thank you.

You realize I was just going from L to R, OF to IF, right?

You do you have Cashner as your opening day starter, right?

Right, because our 3 hitter is supposed to be the leader of the team. That's how baseball is played.

Here is the line up I want:

Fukudome
Soriano
Soto
Ramirez
Pena
Byrd
Castro
Pitcher
DeWitt

Here is what we could reasonably see:

Fukudome
Castro
Ramirez
Pena
Soto
Byrd
Soriano
DeWitt
Pitcher

No, I didn not have Cash as my Opening day SP, I just threw in a name of a pitcher.

Here's my lineup:

Since there's no real leadoff man, it's tougher.

1) 2B DeWitt/Baker
2) SS Castro
3) CF Byrd
4) 1B Pena
5) 3B Ramirez
6) LF Soriano
7) C Soto
8) RF Colvin
9) P Pitcher

Analyzing Waldo;s lineup, there is some categorization.
#1-1=Shit
#2-3=AVG+OBP
#4-8=SLG
#9-9=Shit

If Colvin didn't strike out so much, I would have him as the leadoff man. I think Colvin and Castro in the 1-2 punch could be good. Better than any other 1-2 punch.

How do you think the lineup is anyways?

It's balanced.

That's kinda what I tried for and I think it's the best lineup that could be made. But, if Colvin shows he does not K as much (like in ST), I would switch him with DeWitt/Baker.

I'd start Barney over DeWitt/Baker, if he has a Good ST.

Yeah maybe. I do like Barneys speed, his defense and he does not K much. Like you said, ST does mean a good amount.
