Ummm.... What? So you are saying that Andres Blanco doesn't suck? He has had 85 PAs... that's not exactly a full career.

Why'd you just edit out John Grabow? He was just in your post too.

You said he sucked in the minors. I said that if he sucked IN THE MINORS< he wouldn't have made it to the MAJORS. Didn't say they didn't suck or that Barney didn't.
:obama:

AND BTW, his minor league stats are pretty decent.

Darwin Barney - The Baseball Cube

You said he didn't suck in the minors, but he did. Look at his numbers, he had like 1 OPS over .750. I feel that I am coming off as a numbers are everything, which isn't true, especially in the minors. But based off of his numbers, what does he give us that Baker doesn't? Then there is the defensive aspect of it. Yeah, he is a good defender... but is the difference in defense between he and Baker make up for the difference in the bat? The answer is no.

Why'd you just edit out John Grabow? He was just in your post too.

I don't know his minor league numbers. Too lazy too look them up.

there are a ton of minor league players throughout baseball history that sucked in the minors and went on to have good, average, above average, and excellent careers. pretty stupid arguement you guys are having.

So we should expect every shitty player in the minors to have even an average career?

^i think he's just saying that just because a player has a shitty career in the minors doesn't mean they cant be good in the majors..although i wouldn't count on someone like grabow to become a full time guy in the rotation anytime soon
