not rice cube, but most other people in this thread are being kind of rude, its one thing to argue but to drive someone away from the forum by constantly bashing them for fun is a little over the top

Yeah, we tried to curb it a bit, but since it's the internet...whatcha gonna do.

The easiest way for d3a to get out of this aside from leaving the forum (which nobody really wants) is to just explain how he would have built the team given the resources available this offseason. Acting butthurt and defensive only adds fuel to the fire.

agreed, i was just thinking how if some poeple saw the way everyone is constantly cut down, why would they want to post here? but it guys the other way to, you cant just make big statements and not give reasons or your asking for it.

that's exactly what he does, he always makes a bold crazy statement and never backs it up then says all he does is spit "facts". I've tried to get answers out of him in arguments for months and he never changes his tune. Every post is the same. And I don't blame anyone for trolling him when he is such a homer.

You wanna take some time to search for the responses he claims he made? I kind of don't want to :D

Aren't homers typically blindly supportive of their team and the players on it?

What he needs to do is explain his logic in a more clear fashion or else he's going to continue to get trolled for being an idiot and there won't be any reason to stop said trolling other than to prevent him from feeling butthurt. It's a very simple request: copy/paste. If he really did explain how he would save the Cubs with a fat wallet, then he can find his posts and paste them here.

If he doesn't, then:

1. He never posted a rationale in the first place, in which case he's lying;

2. He posted something but it's so mindlessly idiotic that he's embarrassed to post it again.

And since none of us are going to sift through however many posts he's made to find the rationale, then I guess we're just left wondering and in the meantime, continuing to think that he's deluded.
That's just it Rice. I've never seen anyone here say the Cubs shouldn't spend money...ever. It's when and how to spend the big bucks is the real issue yet somehow D3A's dumb ass has turned it into him thinking people want toe Cubs to try and be the Royals../.....which is nowhere near close to the case for the fans on this board nor the Cubs brass.

d3a's entire point is Special person to begin with because he doesn't even understand what the intelligent people are discussing.

I never one time blasted you guys one time for not having my opionon. I just argued my points and moved on. You young immature punks are the ones who start threads and keep shit moving on. I posted saying i was done and you punks keep going on. Get a life. Once you have 4 kids, wife and know what life is then you can come talk to me. Home you guys enjoy your teen years cause you have alot of growing up to do. You guys should be out enjoying life. Not being on internet dall day long. Get out and socialize. Not being stuck inside jacking off to internet porn.

:flipa:
LOL at the guy who brags about being a former pitcher, sits at home all day brags about watching 140 baseball games a season is throwing around the "get a life card".

Sounds like D3A to me... "facts" thinking were close to competing etc. homer. :homer:

For me a "homer" is someone who thinks the Cubs can do no wrong. d3a seems to think that the Cubs can pull a contender out of their butts by spending out the wazoo. They probably could have, but the expense would have been ridiculous and you wouldn't be able to spend as much on other projects that are also important for the future of the team.

Something like that. But since he hasn't posted a definitive answer, we don't really know what his plan is. It might as well be this:

Not to mention all the backloaded contracts the team would likely have. In a few years, they'd have a team full of Alfonso Sorianos.

It's basically what they did for Pujols in LA and Fielder in DET. Those contracts are going to be okay in the early years but they're going to be horrible in 6 years. That's just way too much money.

Cubbie Doctor's Examiner: The Cubs have a problem...and so do ticket brokers.

Here great article!

Im going to bet if Cubs would have put a compeititve team on the field this wouldnt be a problem. But what do i know. So must be more guys that are like me. Not going to pay top ticket prices when Owner keeps cutting payroll. Guys that are older then 90% of you guys dont want to wait on a rebuilding team. They want to see a winner now. Im glad 90% of you guys are ok with a losing team and thats prolly cause most of you under 20. So im guessing most of you havent been around long enough to understand Cubs are the joke of all pro sport franchises.

They understand that the back end of the contract could hurt them BUT they understand to WIN NOW they have to pay a price. Going to bet LAA and DET win WS before rebuilding Cubs do

If they would have spent money this offseason to have payroll around 150 mil they could have been competitive...

You think you dont have the time to go through post after post. Why dont you try taking care of 3 kids that need something every min of the day. Then you can how much of a life you have
