It's the internet. If you aren't 100% right all the time, people are going to cancel your opinions because theirs are so much better...according to them anyway. It took me a bit when I first joined the Cubs forum years ago, but I read your lists as brainstorming what can be done. It's a presentation of possibilities, not a prediction as the Cubs forum Nostradamus.

And yes. Not enough people have an open mind on the internet. It's a shame. So much to learn, so much knowledge available, a much larger group of experiences to share.

It is more about I'm great and you suck. Every one here agrees right? And they do.

It happens everywhere. When you have 330M in America alone you are going to get 320M opinions and all can not be right.

Trump pushed this agenda hard and made America understand that the truth is meaningless. It is about kicking the other side down and boasting how great you are.

Trump was only a factor. It is us who choose to walk this road segregated.
Truth means nothing anymore. The points that are on the board do not matter anymore. Its about how bad you can humiliate you apponent. Welcome to the And1 Streetball Tour

It's really sad that we are back to paying attention to the farm system. 2015-2017 were lots of fun.
Those years were fun, but I also have fun monitoring the minor leagues. Goes from rooting for one team to rooting for dozens of other players in the system as well.

Out window shut quick because our farm was depleted and we can't let that happen again.

The was part is correct.

Hopeful that Jed doesn't sell the farm for a window again. If he don't want to pay market value he needs to have a supply chain.

Yet again. I said in a vacuum he is the best pitcher in the market.

Remove the garbage and he is a TOR.

As far as what is going on with his personal life and the court stuff. That is due process and he is innocent until proven guilty. If he turns out guilty then this is a dead topic as he will most likely be wearing a orange uni.

As far as my opinion of him? I liked his you tube stuff. He knew how to break down pitching. I don't know much more on the guy. But the Dodgers were willing to give him 30 mil so he doesn't suck as a pitcher
We're not operating in a vacuum.

You say the Cubs should sign Bauer, we disagree, and you throw out "in a vacuum" as if to say "If he weren't a suspended shitbag, we should sign him". Meanwhile, we are saying don't sign him because we are very much aware that he is a suspended shitbag!!

This is not difficult.

No it is because of due process. If the case is tossed out he is innocent. And your opinion don't mean shit then.

As I said if he is found guilty then he will be sporting orange. If he is found innocent then he will be on the mound.

Like/dislike? Who gives a **** to be honest. You can like the **** out of a guy it doesn't make him good.

There is a flip to this.

He and she wanted to get dirty and do choke sex. Rough porn level slapping the face stuff. They banged before. She wanted to amp it up and get a good choke in to get off. Real psycho and of course he is a dumb shit and got into it with a real wacko and over did it. Shit this is about technique vs woman beating. She is going after the $$$.

If he was a regular dude this would go nowhere. She got a baseball player to slap her around and now she is going for the bank roll. Who knows she might be a scam artist and set him up with a good slap show offer.

He has texts showing that they were on the same page.

So stop making this out to be he hooks up with a chick and decides to just beat the shit out of her for kicks.

Women be weird ya know. but what will you do for a buy out? Ask Trump's lawyers.

I don't think he is going to jail/prison regardless of if he's guilty. I haven't looked at the details, but this isn't a rape case right, but domestic violence? He's likely looking at a nice fine and community service and a reputation for the rest of his life. Also an actual suspension from the league if he's found guilty

Cubs: James Triantos, INF (No. 11), ACL Cubs
Triantos was selected 56th overall in the 2021 Draft after reclassifying from the 2022 class and has impressed in his first taste of professional ball. The 18-year-old smacked two homers and added a double in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday, tallying a career-best 10 total bases. In 25 games in the ACL, Triantos has totaled six homers, seven doubles, 19 RBIs and 27 runs scored while slashing .327/.376/.594 with a .970 OPS. Cubs prospect stats »

But from what I've read.

They we together before. She texts him on doing asphyxiation. So he agrees and she passes out from it. After she files assault against him. But he comes back with text info showing it was consentual.

Why this ever went to court is amazing.

First 2022 mock draft:

1. Baltimore Orioles: Brooks Lee, SS, Cal Poly

Lee is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound switch-hitting shortstop who is a well-rounded player. His best traits are on the offensive side, as he is an aggressive hitter who loves to swing at the first pitch. He has respectable power, possesses an above-average hit tool and drives the ball to all fields.

Read more about Lee and his skills here.

2. Arizona Diamondbacks: Jace Jung, 2B/3B, Texas Tech

Jung is a tremendous hitter who uses a slightly unusual setup from the left side of the plate. He hits for average and power and had a breakout 2021 campaign. Defensively, scouts are split on Jung’s future defensive position. He is a bat-first player who profiles at second or third base long-term.

3. Texas Rangers: Elijah Green, OF, IMG Academy (Fla.)

Green is an elite prep prospect who has an exciting toolset. There aren’t many holes in Green’s game. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound outfielder has elite speed and exceptional arm strength. He is a refined prep talent who might be the best draft-eligible prep player in the last five years.

4. Pittsburgh Pirates: Termarr Johnson, 2B, Mays (Ga.) HS

Johnson, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound infielder, has quick hands at the plate and consistently barrels up pitches from the left side of the plate. He profiles as a top-of-the-order hitter with an ability to hit for some power in the pro ranks. Scouts believe he has the talent to play shortstop, second base and center field at the next level.

5. Washington Nationals Miami Marlins: Kevin Parada, C, Georgia Tech

The 6-foot, 192-pound catcher is a right-handed hitter who consistently barrels up pitches. He is a complete player who has the athleticism and above-average arm strength to stick behind the plate. He also has a solid track record against the high-end competition.

6. Miami Marlins: Dylan Lesko, RHP, Buford (Ga.) HS

Right now, Lesko is the best prep arm in the 2022 MLB draft class. He is 6-foot-3, 195 pounds who throws a mid-90s fastball from an athletic and repeatable delivery. The righty has consistently performed well on the showcase circuit and has all the tools to be a high-end starter in pro ball.

7. Chicago Cubs: Andruw Jones, OF, Wesleyan (Ga.) HS

Jones is the son of former MLB outfielder Andruw Jones. He is a quality defensive outfielder who has above-average speed and plenty of potential remaining in his game. The right-handed hitter consistently barrels up pitches and has displayed an improved power potential over the last year.

8. Minnesota Twins: Carter Young, SS, Vanderbilt

Young is an advanced defensive player with arm strength and the athleticism, footwork, and hands to make all the necessary plays. The switch hitter displayed an ability to drive the ball with power this season. But, he needs to refine his approach and plate discipline.

9. Kansas City Royals: Chase DeLauter, OF, James Madison

DeLauter, a left-handed hitter, has thrived at the plate during his college career. He is a quality hitter who hits for power. He has experience playing all three outfield positions and deserves a shot to play center field in pro ball.

10. Colorado Rockies: Jacob Berry, 3B, LSU

Berry had a tremendous freshman season at Arizona last spring. He transferred to LSU in the offseason, following coach Jay Johnson. Berry hits for average and above-average power to all parts of the field. Defensively, some scouts believe he is a better fit at first base.

I was thinking Kumar Rocker myself. Sign Marcus Stroman and target Rocker. Build the next team with high upside starting pitching.

The best method is bulk. Keep producing arms.

Green is obviously the highest ceiling player with a Ronald Acuna Jr. comp. But Lee and Jung are no slouches.

Brooks Lee - .342/.384/.626 Big West POTY
Jace Jung - .337/.462/.697 Big 12 POTY

Then you have Termarr Johnson, who is the best pure hitting high school prospect, and Jabob Berry who’s the best pure hitting college prospect.

Dylan Lesko is the top pitcher and a legit top 5 pitching prospect. And Andruw Jones is probably the best all round prospect, a legit 5 tool player, and also worthy of a top 5 pick.

Fortunately, at least one of these dudes will be there at #7.

Unfortunately, I can see Jud passing on all of them for some high school shortstop from a small school.

7 is actually a decent spot in this draft. At least two of those guys will fall while two will rise. Idk what’s going on in the Rocker situation if he’s still available because he wasn’t signed last year, that’s another elite prospect.

Cubs need high end arms over bats. But if the bat is far superior to the best arm available then you go there and use that excess depth to trade for established pitching.
