Harang has pitched good in his career, I don't know what happen to him in the recent years.

So couple this with Webb rumors

Zambrano
Demp
Webb
Harang
Wells

would be our rotation. I like it

As much as I would love to get a Brandon Webb Cubs shirt, I think it is best that the Cubs stay away from him. He has been hitting 80 on the gun and that is not something that the Cubs need to be getting themselves into. I say go for Javier Vazquez, he's your best bet to succeed.

That report is a few months old though, at least when I first saw that number. We need an update from somewhere. For all we know he could be throwing 90 now.

That number was from moths ago. Show me a new report saying he's still only throwing 80. I want an update before making a decision.

Show me a report saying he has improved on 80. Obviously the Cubs aren't going to go off of a report from a few months ago. But, we aren't the Cubs. We're going off of what we have, not some hypothetical report from now.

I know. I just wanted to know if there was a newer report out there. If he's throwing like 70, then hell no. If he's throwing 88, then fine, that's about as fast as Wells pitches, and while not Cy Young quality, is still decent.

If he's throwing 80, then we see if he passes the physical.

Velocity has nothing to do with a Cy Young. When Webb won his Cy Young, he was throwing 88-90ish.

If he is throwing 80, he can still pass a physical. They are flawed.

1) take this in the WEBB thread

2) NO ONE will give him 5 million if he is throwing 80 MPH. So end that debate now.

Right, because Webb isn't a veteran starter the Cubs are looking at. Pick your battles, Dewey.
