Eh, he's alright. Has a solid K/BB. Though I don't know if I'd go shouting from the mountaintops about a soon-to-be 28-year old pitcher with a career 8.6% HR/FB rate who will be pitching the vast majority of his games in the coming seasons in a home run haven. But hey, that's just me.

But, we get his 28-32 year old years under team control. He can be a solid pitcher for us. As far as the HRs go, he's done good so far, I'm not overly concerned about it. The general consensus on this board is that he is as bad as Berg, which is simply not true. He is a solid 3 win pitcher who is making league minimum. That's a nice asset to have.

Nobody said he was as bad as Berg, we just don't think he's this God you make him out to be.

I did the W/L thing because he was talking about him like he was the 2nd coming of Bob Gibson.

pick up a 1b to fill in for a year or two and a starter and reliever and were good for this offseason. maybe make a trade or two but thats it

How about this option trade wells, gorz, vitters and someone else to ksc for zack grienke, sign webb.You have a rotation with grienke, zambrano,demp, webb and archer.

I like Randy Wells. I think he can still be a good pitcher for us. But there's no denying he had a shitty year last season.
