Ya, sorry. I was dumb enough to reply.

To get back on topic:
Who wants Harang to be on the Cubs? Honestly, I do not.

Fill the holes in house this year to see what these kids can do.

Ya, that's what I want too.

2011 the cubs arent winning anything, so see what you have, projections are what they are....projections. nothing is stone solid. give the kids MLB experience and really see what you have. the question is what is a harang, webb, bonderman etc going to do for this team? seriously....there is no point. and the first meatball that says mentor needs to log off and never follow sports again.

FIP's below 4? Don't you mean none has FIPs over 4 as Wells is 3.93? Or are we looking at different sources with deferring information?

Yes, below.

 really? god dammit! Randy Wells talk again?

You're right, damn that activity! Damn it all to hell!

Ya, but Webb could be traded if he regains form and would have come cheap if they'd signed him before the interest picked up. I still prefer to see the kids play over Webb too.

I can see that. However, the average fan would rather see a Cy Young winner than a prospect.

The average fan needs to grow a brain. I hate it when people say Castro sucks, that is all they say on cubs.com's message board. That is the average fan you want to please?

The average fans are the ones with the money who are going to be coming to the games. This is basic. Really, it is.

I said it before and il say it again. they dont need those guys but will sign a webb like player based on the disaster that is going on with the PR dept.

again, a Webb move is to appease the avg fan, the avg fan will hear that "we got a former cy young winner" and will go to games, which is giving the avg fan false hope, but us pencil pushing baseball nerds will be pissed. it is a complete PR move to put butts in the seats.

same with kerry wood. he will be back...i will bet on that.

This shit again. :obama:

Who knew a guy with 3 wins, is "solid".

he is basing this off of WAR and WAR only. horrible way to evaluate talent by just FIP and WAR. but whatever floats his boat.

Dude, for the millionth time, look at his K/9, BB/9, and K/BB. Hell, look at his ERA +, even.

I do find it quite humorous that you talk about evaluating talent and you're the guy who uses BA.

Eh, he's alright. Has a solid K/BB. Though I don't know if I'd go shouting from the mountaintops about a soon-to-be 28-year old pitcher with a career 8.6% HR/FB rate who will be pitching the vast majority of his games in the coming seasons in a home run haven. But hey, that's just me.
