I'll agree w/ this 100%, but it doesn't change the fact that the dude was over-hyped by us. He was always a free-swinger, when we needed a guy to work the count, find a way to get on base, and run his ass off. He never fully utilized the tools he was given. Juan Pierre can barely put the ball out of the infield either, but he had a pretty productive career finding ways to get on base and steal.

He was a 3rd hitter, misused by us as a lead off guy. He will never be a leadoff hitter, his swing to too big. If he gave a shit now, which he clearly doesn't, he could try to develop a Pierre swing. But he wont, because he is Corey FUCKIN' Patterson.

They bulid teams the way they should be bulit. If they could go out and get a few FA's y each year they would be scary. To bad they dont have the funds. They made a mistake by not trading Torri Hunter before FA but thats the only one i can remember.

Im not gonna lie.. Ramirez by himself really pissed me off. That in itself doesn't take the entire reason why the Cubs lost.
It really pisses me off though.. Especially that one mammoth home run that he dug out of the dirt.. That's almost damn near in-human.

Choi was a lot better than people remember him being. He was never really given a fair shake.
Patterson well he was rushed and forced to lead off. Had we used him right and been patient he would still be playing CF for us.

One good season out of 3...and were swept out of the playoffs? Harang is ruined, Homer Bailey and Johnny Cueto are ALWAYS on the shelf? Hell, he did the exact same thing for the Cubs. Let's see Dusty sustain that before he gets any credit from me.

LOL that isnt true not every Cubs fan does that. The reason we didnt win was defense and Dusty Baker left Prior in to long. Our defense has always plauged us and defense is critical.

Only problem was we were one of the top defensive infields all season long.
Defense was a given, the fact it struggled had nothing to do with stats.
