Eh I blame him more for Corey Patterson and Ronny Cedeno than I do any pitcher to be honest. I think he was worse with young offensive players than he was with pitchers.

No he'll forever be remembered as huge bust. He was the best pitching prospect in baseball, and completely flopped. Him and Alex Gordon are the same.

Never realized he was that highly touted.

Oh he did them no favors, but Ronny Cedeno was supposed to be very good, and in 2006 Dusty just left him to rot at SS, and he really never recovered.

Same with Patterson in 2005.

I dont think Tom Verducci could have saved Prior.

Time will tell what dusty does to the reds staff. He did use his SPs a bit much and yes cedeno and patterson where used wrong, but at the same time they could have been just another example of prospects not panning out.

3 years in, he's done the same thing to both teams...this year, they are tough again. but we are still 2 weeks in.

comprehension.

Make all the excuses you want. That post was just dumb.

"The Reds suck, I hate Dusty Baker!!

But they are good team."

We have all had dumb posts, it's okay to just laugh at it and move on :)

Alex Gordon is coming into his own now that he has changed positions. We'll see how it pans out over the next 2-4 years, but I wouldn't count him out just yet.

I thought what I was getting at was "I hate the reds, and I hate dusty baker...but right now they're a good team..."

But...fair enough.

Oh yeah for sure it could have just been bad luck. There is a chance no manager could have saved them, but I don't think Dusty helped them.

Yeah. I kinda agree.

And by kinda I mean I bought into Alex Gordon for two straight years in fantasy and well it hurt. So I have a hard time believing in him.

It is a small sample size so far this year, but I also was a sucker and picked him off waivers this year, he looks locked in. maybe he is coming into his own.

Okay, I can see that. I just saw it as Dusty hate, but as you said... fair enough :)
