Only problem was we were one of the top defensive infields all season long.

Defense was a given, the fact it struggled had nothing to do with stats.

By plauged i meant by in recent years when we played the Dodgers in the playoffs it killed us.

LOL that isnt true not every Cubs fan does that. The reason we didnt win was defense and Dusty Baker left Prior in to long. Our defense has always plauged us and defense is critical.

FAIL WAGON

The YEAR...... The Cubs defense was one of the tops in the league. And A-gone was a leading candidate for the Gold Glove..... which he wasted on that play.

"facts" do you listen to your fellow fans call in on the radio? when that article came out there have been a slew of fans pissed off.

There was also a brief blame game when he was suspended the first time by both yankee and cub fans.

I don't listen to any local sports radio. 95% of all people who call into radio stations are morons. Doesn't matter the team.

What about them?

One good season out of 3...and were swept out of the playoffs? Harang is ruined, Homer Bailey and Johnny Cueto are ALWAYS on the shelf? Hell, he did the exact same thing for the Cubs. Let's see Dusty sustain that before he gets any credit from me.

(reds are damn tough tho).

This is the best post in this thread that has now just turned into a pointless argument.

Let me sum it up:

"Red sucks and will collapse. I hate Dusty Baker!!!!

(They are a good team, tho)"

ROFL - Great argument :)

Bailey... he'll be forever remembered as the pitcher when Starlin Castro made history.

Has to be my favorite Red because of that. :)

I don't necessarily blame Dusty for Prior...but I do Woody.

Eh I blame him more for Corey Patterson and Ronny Cedeno than I do any pitcher to be honest. I think he was worse with young offensive players than he was with pitchers.

No he'll forever be remembered as huge bust. He was the best pitching prospect in baseball, and completely flopped. Him and Alex Gordon are the same.
