Stats does not mean everything. Watching him should take a part too. He either walks batters or throws the ball right down that plate and het gets hit eaisly.

Stats tell us a whole hell of a lot. His walks aren't up that much from last year. He isn't responsible for hits. He is responsible for BB, K, and HR. That's all he is in control of.

It's because he is unlucky. It's not his fault the Cubs can't score. It's not his fault that the defense behind him is shitty. What part don't you get?

Well, that is true and not true. If you look at just his FIP and BABIP then yes he's gotten unlucky.

His tRA is 4.62, which is in line with his ERA.

His LD% is 22.1 right now, which has nothing to do with luck. IIRC that puts his xBABIP in the .340s anyway. So actually he hasn't gotten unlucky.

Disappointing series so far....the Cubs just can't seem to get runs home when they are in scoring position. It really gets old! Lol.
